영문 초록

Nowadays, the implications of conventional intellectual property systems for traditional knowledge and biodiversity have been the subject of a polarized international debate. The patent disclosure and benefit sharing issue should be addressed within the TRIPS Council, as the protection of traditional knowledge and genetic resources rights must be integrated with trade regulations, and especially with the implementation of the TRIPS Agreement, to be effective. This article has sought to suggest how patent system could be a tool to protect traditional knowledge.
