국문 초록

사회적기업은 고령화, 가족구조의 변화, 여성인력 증가 등 사회서비스 수요의 증가에서 기인한다. 즉 경기침체로 인한 고용시장이 불안정해짐에 따라 노동소외계층이 증가해 결국 정부와 민간이 함께 만든 대안이 사회적기업이다. 사회적기업은 일반 영리기업과는 달리 공공선을 추구하고 조직구성원의 참여와 협력으로 이루어지는 활동들이 훨씬 많기 때문에 일반 영리기업보다 사회자본의 필요성과 역할이 강조되는 분야라고 할 수 있다. 즉 사회적기업은 일반 영리기업과는 다른 특수성을 가지고 있다. 조직구성원의 사회자본을 고려하지 않고서는 기업의 성과를 기대할 수 없다는 것이다. 사회적기업은 경제적 성과와 동시에 사회적ㆍ윤리적ㆍ환경적 성과를 추구하기 때문에, 개인에 의해서가 아니라 다른 조직구성원들과 상호작용하면서 활동이 이루어진다. 즉 사회적 기업에서 조직구성원의 상호협력은 조직의 성과에 큰 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 사회적기업이 경쟁력을 갖고 성장하기 위해서는 조직구성원 간의 사회자본, 즉 신뢰구축이 보다 활발히 이루어져야 한다.

영문 초록

A social enterprise is a result of changing social service demands such as population ageing, changing of family structure and women resources etc. In other words, a social enterprise is an alternative that was made by government and private sector as job market becomes unstable due to recession. Because a social enterprise seeks general good, in the area of the social enterprise, unlike that of common profit-seeking companies, the need and role of social capital is emphasized. So a social enterprise has its unique distinctive that is different from those of profit seeking companies: without considering the social capital of its members, you can’t expect performance from it. A social enterprise seeks social, ethical and environmental performance as well as economic outcomes, its activities are made not just by each individual but by the interaction of its members. Therefore, in social enterprise, mutual cooperation can have significant influence on its organizational performance. For a social enterprise to grow with competitiveness, there should be more active social capital of its members, which means trust building.
