국문 초록

본 연구는 2009년 개정 초등학교 체육과 교육과정에 의해 새롭게 구현된 초등 체육 4학년 검정교과서의 비만 관련 내용을 분석함으로써 새로운 검정 교과서 집필을 위한 자료를 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 2009년 개정 교육과정에 따른 초등학교 3-4학년군 ②의 체육 검정교과서 6권을 그 대상으로 외형적 특성 및 내용분석을 하였다. 구체적인 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 외형적 특성 분석에서 건강 활동의 내용 구성 체계에서는 모든 출판사가 각 영역의 교육과정을 충실히 반영하고 있었으며, 건강 활동 단원명은 출판사별로 다양하게 나타났다. 건강 활동 속에서의 비만 관련 내용 구성 비율은 출판사별로 최고 29.4%, 최소 11.8%의 비율로 제시되고 있었다. 비만 관련 단원의 외형적 총 차시 구성 및 학습문제는 출판사별로 다양한 형태를 보였다. 둘째, 내용분석에 있어서 내용 및 사진, 삽화의 정확성 및 적합성에 있어서는 출판사별로 정확성 및 적합성에 있어서 수정해야 할 부분이 다양하게 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze the obesity-related content in textbooks used for physical education of fourth graders in elementary school. These textbooks are based on the revised curriculum of 2011. The purpose of the study is to suggest a direction of appropriate education on obesity and provide relevant materials for drafting a new government-approved textbook. To this end, an analysis was conducted on the content and structures of a total of six physical education textbooks used for grades 3 and 4 in elementary school. The study results are as follows: First, in the analysis of structure, all publishers were sufficiently reflecting the curriculum in the way they composed the chapters on healthy lifestyles, with the name of the relevant chapter varying among publishers. The share of content related to obesity within these chapters on healthy lifestyles were a maximum of 29.4% and a minimum of 11.8%. The composition of lessons and study exercises included in these chapters varied by publisher. Second, in terms of content, various areas that require revision for better accuracy or appropriateness were discovered in terms of the use of photos and pictures.This thesis delves into the possibilities and conditions of the transition of affiliated schools to college of education.
