국문 초록

전자학습(e-러닝)은 정보통신네트워킹에 의해 창조되는 전자공간을 기반으로 교수학습이 진행되는 교육체제이며, 면대면 교수학습 상황과는 구별되는 고유한 상징체계(symbol system)를 갖는다. 전자학습체제의 화면설계를 위해서는 학습 목표 달성을 위한 필수적인 학습내용을 선정하고, 학습자ㆍ교수자간에 개별화된 상호작용을 위한 전략을 고안해야 한다. 이를 위해서 정보처리이론에 근간을 둔 전자학습 콘텐츠 설계 및 개발 전략을 살펴볼 필요가 있다. 이 연구의 목적은 전자학습 환경에서 학습자의 적극적인 인지활동을 촉진하고 깊은 수준의 이해 촉진을 위해서 어떻게 학습콘텐츠를 설계하여야 하는가에 대한 실천적 시사점을 규명하고자 하는 것이다.

영문 초록

e-Learning delivered through the cyber space is a new educational system and has different characteristics from offline education. In order to overcome the weaknesses of the offline education, such as lack of individualized interaction, and to offer effective learning contexts, this paper introduce the six strategies for designing the interface of e-Learning program. The strategies are below: 1. Applying the multimedia principle: use words and graphics rather than words alone; 2. Applying the contiguity principle: place corresponding words and graphics near each other; 3. Applying the modality principles: present words as audio narration rather than on-screen text; 4. Applying the redundancy principles: presenting words in both text and audio narration can hurt learning; 5. Applying the coherence principle: adding interesting material can hurt learning; 6. Applying the personalization principles: use Conversational Style. In this paper, research results regarding the best use of media elements, such as sound, graphics, and text are summarized. Also, the discussion of the specific implications to design and develop e-Learning contents based on information-processing theory are described.
