영유아 어머니의 포괄적 보육서비스 욕구와 인구학적 요인과의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 생태체계학적 관점의 포괄적 보육서비스 개념을 욕구(needs)와 연계하여 포괄적 보육서비스 욕구를 구조화하고, 포괄적 보육서비스 욕구와 어머니의 인구학적 요인간의 관계를 실증적으로 검토하였다. 이를 위해 서울특별시보육시설연합회에 등록된 보육시설을 이용하고 있는 어머니 3,000명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하고, M-plus를 활용하여 연구모형을 검증하였다. 분석결과, 포괄적 보육서비스 욕구는 아동발달에 관한 서비스 욕구와 육아지원에 관한 서비스 욕구를 하위개념으로 하는 고차요인모형(Higher-order factor model)으로 구조화되었다. 또한 아동발달에 관한 서비스에 영향을 미치는 요인은 어머니의 연령이 높을수록, 직업을 갖고 있지 않은 어머니일수록 욕구 정도가 높게 나타났다. 육아지원에 관한 서비스 욕구는 자녀수가 많을수록, 막내자녀 나이가 많을수록 욕구 정도가 높아지는 경향으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 향후 보육지원방안과 관련한 정책적 전략과 실천적 함의를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study examined to structure of the comprehensive child care service needs what was the concept of an ecology system model and the relationship between comprehensive child-care needs and demographic factors of mothers. The survey was administered to 3,000 mothers who were using child day care centers in Seoul. In the present study, a statistical package M-plus version 2.01 was used for the analysis. Results showed that the comprehensive child care service needs were structurized as a higher-order factor model based on two service needs: the service needs concerning the child development and the service needs concerning the child care support. Moreover, the level of service needs concerning the child development was shown high that relative to the higher the mother`s age and in case of mother who was not having a job. The level of child care support service needs was shown high relative to mother that has more children and a higher age of the youngest child. Based on the results, implications for child care system and practice were discussed.
