유아교육기관에서 공동체적 부모참여의 발달과 교육적 의미

국문 초록

본 연구는 부모가 교육의 주체로서 교사와 동등한 협력 관계 속에서 적극적으로 유아교육기관의 의사결정과정과 유아교육프로그램의 실행에 참여하는 공동체적 부모참여의 발달과정과 그 교육적 의미를 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 2003년부터 2006년까지 공동체적 부모참여를 실천해 온 서울시 소재 S 어린이집 원아의 부모들이며, 부모참여 인식에 관한 질문지, 부모참여 활동사진과 대화내용기록자료 및 저널 등을 포함한 부모참여 자료 및 참여에 핵심적 역할을 담당하였던 부모와의 인터뷰 내용 등을 통하여 질적 분석이 이루어졌다. 연구결과 공동체적 부모참여는 시간의 흐름에 따라 역동적으로 변모하여 몇 가지 단계로 발달하는 양상을 나타내었으며, 공동체적 부모참여의 교육적 의미는 부모의 자녀에 대한 이해와 부모 자신에 대한 태도가 긍정적으로 변화한 것에 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the evolutionary processes and educational meanings of parent participation with co-partnership at a preschool using qualitative research. The research subjects of this study were the parents of a preschool which has practiced parent participation with co-partnership over the last 3 years in Seoul. The researchers have conducted the interviews with parents to find out their understanding, the evolutionary processes, and educational meanings of the parent participation with co-partnership. The documents of parent participation, questionnaire for parents, and field surveys were referred. As a result we found that parent participation with co-partnership evolved dynamically and developed into several steps, and the educational meanings of it appeared to be parents' changing themselves toward positive attitude and their understanding of the children.
