영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine whether wearing practice and purchasing behavior of functional foundation garments of adult women were differed by the body cathexis of them. Body parts evaluated were bust, waist, abdomen, hip, and thigh which related to functional foundation garment wearing. Data for this study were collected using questionnaire from October 17 to October 21, 2001. Data from 476 were used in the first analysis and 333 were analysed in the final analysis. Frequency distribution, descriptive statistics. T-test, χ² were used to analyse the data. The results obtained were as follows: 1. There were no significant difference between the two groups divided by body cathexis in wearing practices of functional foundation garments including possession, items, wearing time of them. 2. There were no significant difference between the two groups divided by body cathexis in purchasing behavior including information seeking, stores where they bought functional foundation garments, and brands they purchased.
