조형재료 탐색의 조형활동이 유아의 창의성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 조형재료 탐색 후 진행되는 조형활동이 유아의 창의성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 확인하는데 목적을 두고 실험연구를 실시하였다. 실험을 위하여 수도권에 위치한 2개의 어린이집에서 각 1개 반을 선정하여 각각 실험집단(9명)과 통제집단(9명)으로 설정하고 사전검사로 유아용 통합 창의성 검사를 실시하여 실험실시전 두 집단 간의 동질성을 확인하였다. 실험은 조형재료 탐색을 경험하고 난 뒤 조형활동을 하는 창의성 계발 프로그램을 구성하여 총10차시 실시하였다. 실험실시 후 사후 검사를 실시하여 프로그램효과를 확인한 결과, 조형재료 탐색 후 진행된 조형활동은 창의적 능력 중 언어창의성의 하위요인인 상상력과 유창성, 독창성 향상에 효과적임이 확인되었다. 도형창의성의 하위요인인 주제요인을 제외하고는 연속성, 완성도, 새로운 요소첨가, 비관습성에서는 유희미한 효과가 나타나지 않았다. 한편 창의적 성격에 있어서는 통계적으로 유의미한 효과가 나타났다. 본 연구 의결과로 조형재료 탐색 후 진행되는 조형활동은 유아의 언어창의성과 도형창의성에 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 유아교육기관에서는 조형활동을 할 때 조형재료에 대한 충분한 탐색활동을 진행한 뒤 조형활동을 할 수 있도록 계획하고 실행함으로써 유아의 창의성 증진에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study intends to verify what the art activities after the experience of art materials have an effect on the children’s creativity. With the art activities after experience of the materials for the children, this study intends to find the effective teaching method for improving the creativity by revealing whether such activities have an effect on improving the creativity and forming the creative tendencies. The summarized results from the study are as mentioned below. First, it was found that the art activities after experience of the art materials influenced the improvement of the linguistic creativity, which is the sub-concept of the children’s creative ability. Second, the art activities after experience of the materials showed a significant difference in the theme factor among the sub-factors of the children’s creative ability, the shape creativity but a significant difference was not found in other factors. Therefore, the art activities after experience of the materials did not affect the improvement of the overall creativity of the children. Third, it was found that the significant difference was observed for the sub-factors of the creative tendency of the children except for the adventurousness such as curiosity, sense of independence and the obsession with the assignment with the art activities after experience of the materials, indicating that such activities affected the improvement in the creative tency of the children.
