『선조실록』과 『선조수정실록』을 통한 사료비교학습

국문 초록

최근 역사교육에서는 사료를 활용하여 학습자로 하여금 역사가의 탐구과정을 익히고 역사적 사고력을 증진시키는 사료학습에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 본고에서 사료학습의 한 모형으로서 개발한 사료비교학습은 단일한 역사적 사실이나 사건등에 대해 서로 다른 평가나 해석을 하고 있는 두 개 이상의 사료를 비교함으로써 사료가 작성된 역사적 배경상황을 이해하고 역사적 사실이나 사건을 보다 폭넓게 이해할 수 있도록 한다. 본고에서 제시하는 『선조실록』과 『선조수정실록』은 이러한 점에서 붕당의 출현과 전개과정을 파악하는 사료비교학습의 좋은 사례가 될 수 있다. 북인 정권하에 편찬된 『선조실록』은 서인에 대해 공정한 평가로 서술할 수 없었으며, 인조반정 이후 서인이 집권한 상황에서 『선조실록』의 수정은 필수적이었다. 따라서 『선조수정실록』에서는 서인에 대한 입장을 보완하고 수정하는 편찬 노선을 밟았다. 본시학습의 전개에서 학생들로 하여금 문제를 인식하게 하고 사료를 비판, 해석하게 하여 두 사료의 비교를 통한 붕당 정치의 실체를 보다 구체적으로 이해할 수 있도록 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to develope the effective teaching method of comparing historical materials. This model helps students to learn the process as historians use when they study history. This model for comparing historical materials which this study developed as one of the teaching models is to compare with the historical facts or events in the different materials which was published in the same period. In addition, it is possible we use the different materials which the historians have different ideas about the same facts or events it was not shown at the same period. Students in the class are able to learn the background of the historical materials and understand more deeply. This paper could be a good example because it propose two different materials which was made at the different period. The main faction was different politically when the two materials was published each. The appearance of ‘Bungdang’ is at the early Seonjo period. After the West had the power in politics, they insist this Sil-Lok had to be revised. As a result, the revised version was completed to publish soon. This version said that the West is very successful in history. With that, teachers make the learners understand the criticism of historical materials, the methods of analyze historical materials in advance before they start the class. The students can understand ‘Bungdang’ politics more concretely through this class comparing between Seonjo veritable records(Seonjo Sil-Lok) and the revised version(Seonjo Sujung Sil-Lok) This processing is from recognizing the issues through the historical materials.
