국문 초록

지역산업연관모형 중에서 다지역산업연관모형(Multiregional input-output model, MRIO)은 일반적으로 미비한 지역통계자료의 제약을 다양한 추정방법으로 극복할 수 있으며 동시에 지역간 파급효과(spill-over effect)와 환류효과(feed-back effect)를 분석할 수 있는 장점 때문에 국내에서 꾸준하게 연구되어 왔다. 선행연구들에서 주된 관심의 초점은 추정결과의 정확성이었다. 본 연구는 MRIO모형 연구문헌에서 수학적 정합성의 이슈에 초점을 맞춘다. MRIO모형은 고려되는 지역 수의 제곱승에 해당하는 개수의 지역 간 중간거래표의 추계가 필요하며, 기존 문헌에서는 이들이 모두 독립적으로 추계된다. 본 연구는 시.군단위 기초자치단체에 대한 기초자치단체-광역권-전국의 계층적 구조를 갖는 3지역 MRIO모형을 중심으로, 지역 간 중간거래표에 선형제약조건들이 존재하는 것을 보인다. 따라서 중간거래표들이 각각 독립적으로 추계될 경우 이러한 선형제약조건이 위배될 수 있고 수학적 정합성이 충족되지 않을 수 있다. 본 연구는 지역 간 중간거래표 추계에서 동 선형제약조건을 활용할 수 있는 방법을 제시한다.

영문 초록

This study focuses on the issue of mathematical coherence for the multiregional input-output model(MRIO) literature. Within the author's knowledge, this is the first time to consider the issue in the literature. The MRIO model considered in this study is based on 3 regions consisting of basic unit of local government such as city and ’Gun', wide area unit of local government, and national economy. This study shows linear constraints exist among interregional transaction tables in the 3 region MRIO model and suggests an estimation method for the MRIO model using the linear constraints to improve mathematical coherence. In a numerical example focused on Pohang City, it is shown that the method of this study improves the mathematical coherence of the estimation results for interregional transaction tables. To be used in real application, however, the estimation method needs further improvement to jointly consider both mathematical coherence and estimation accuracy.
