국문 초록

본 연구에서는 한부모가족 여성의 일-가정 양립에 따른 환경적 및 심리사회적 요인이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 분석함으로써, 사회복지적 관점에서 그들의 삶의 질 향상에 기여할 수 있는 정책방안을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 위의 연구 목적을 위하여 본 연구의 대상자는 전국 44개 모자시설 중에 31개 시설에 거주하고 있는 한부모 여성여성을 중심으로 조사하였다. 본 설문조사는 지역에 관계없이 지역별로 할당 표집하여 실시하였으며, 본 조사에 참여한 설문지 482부 중에서 338부가 최종 분석에 활용되었다. 본 연구는 개인적 요인을 통제변수로 하고, 환경적 요인(가족, 직장, 지역사회)과 심리사회적 요인(양립갈등도, 일지향태도)을 독립변수로 하여 환경적 요인과 심리사회적 요인이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 측정하였으며, 자료의 분석은 SPSS WIN 17.0을 사용하여 하였다. 본 연구의 분석 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 한부모가족 여성의 건강이 좋을수록, 자녀수가 적을수록, 가족환경이 좋을수록, 지역사회환경이 좋을수록, 일-가정 양립 갈등이 적을수록, 일-가정 양립 지향일수록, 삶의 질이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 위의 결과를 볼 때, 한부모가족 여성의 건강수준이 가장 유의미한 영향을 미치고 있다. 따라서 그들을 위한 다양한 건강증진 프로그램의 실시되고, 이와 더불어 모자자립시설 및 재가 저소득 한부모가족에게도 의료급여가 확대되어야 한다. 또한 돌보아야 하는 자녀수에 따라 차등 지원하는 다자녀 지원 정책이 효과적인 방안이다. 다음으로는, 다양한 여성 일자리 확대 프로그램의 실시가 필요하며, 여기에 모 교육 시에 생활비 지원이 뒷받침되어야 한다. 끝으로, 한부모가족을 위한 임대주택보급 확대, 장기전세자금대출 지원, 퇴소자 자립정착금 지원 등 보다 적극적인 주거안정지원 정책이 필요하다. 이는 지역사회환경과 경제적인 면에서 한부모가족 여성의 삶의 질 향상에 도움을 줄 수 있다.

영문 초록

The thesis has been conducted to examine the factors affecting on work-family balance and quality of life among women living in institutions for single parent families. The purpose of this thesis is to understand them, and to provide some politic alternatives for enhancing their quality of life in the respect of social welfare. For this, three scales-the socio-demographic characteristics, the environmental factors, and the psycho-sociological factors, have been developed through the literature review The survey data were collected among those who are living in single parent families institutions nationwide, currently working full-time or part-time, and taking care of children between 0~18 years old (up to 22 if in education); Mothers of 31 institutions out of total 44 institutions participated in this study. The data consisted of answers from 338 questionnaires conducted. To analyze the factors, the collected data has been taken statistics using the reliability test, frequency analysis, T-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis by the SPSS WIN 17.0 program. The statistically meaningful results and the major findings are summarized as follows : First, in terms of personal factors, better health and less number of children enhance the quality of single mothers’ life. Second, in terms of environmental factors, better family environ ment and better community environment improve the quality of their life. Third, as for psycho-sociological factors, those who had less work-family conf lict, with work-family balance-oriented attitude (rather than work-oriented attitude), had higher quality of life. From these results, the following politic alternatives in the field of social work for the improvement of the quality of life of single mothers are proposed as follows: First, it is important to expand various health promoting service programs and medical coverages for single parent families. Second, it is necessary to introduce additional support for single parent families according to the number of children. Third, the opportunity of employment should be extended. And during vocational education, it is needed to aid living expenses for them. Fourth, the housing policy should be more supportive for them, such as increase in public rental housings and support of long-term loans for the rental housings. In addition, it is necessary to raise the resettlement funds which is supported to those who leave institutions up to a reasonable amount.
