영문 초록

In the present, all mankind of the World have experienced global immigrations and at the same time, the wave of multiculturalism. it produces ‘glocal period’. The active promotions of World religions are influencing on the life of not only Christians but also the others in all societies through migrant cultures. Accordingly, it leads the class distinction of society and the delicate tension and conflicts of religions between. Therefore, the World Mission of Christianity is unstable in the aspect of strategy and fields, apart from the missions of the 20th century. Coming in the 21st century, the World is in the situation of ‘two hundreds milions nomads’ for new migrants. In this point, it comes the actual state of ‘multiculture’ which mixes both religions and culture, and then reveals social issues. By this, European societies and the U.S. society have been shocked by the social chaos of multicutural scandals. So, they are trying to use the political methods and activities. In the case of Korean society, the number of migrants were over one million in August, 2007. this number is 2%(100,254) of Korean population (49,130,000). It presents that 15% increases more than the number of migrants in 2006 and 158% increases more than 1997. Furthermore, the international marriage of Korea is forty thousands in 2005 and it means 13.6% of whole marriage in Korea. Also, we can consider rate of Korean residents from the Communist orbit; Korean-Chinese and Saetomin (New settlers from North Korea). The rate of Korean-Chinese is 43% of migrants living in Korea and the number of Saetomin is over ten thousands in 2007. In Korean society, there is 347 NGOs for migrant workers and multicultural family. 27.8% among them has religious background; Protestants(63)- Islam(15)- Catholics(9)- Buddhism(7). They are very active in their own fields. However, Christian leaders of the NGOs can not show their own religion in their activities because the Korean government has anti-religious attitude and non Christian religions roughly attack to the Christian mission. In this situation, the federation of Korean Churches gave us a hope for mission. The federations (like KNCC, CCK, etc) have enterprised social evangelistic projects for migrant workers and multicultural families since 2007. Nevertheless, these are firstly very event-centred, intending to present visual contributions and secondly, they are very withering in the direct evangelistic works, overreacting the circumstance of ‘multiculture’. Therefore, the author would like to suggest the following; firstly, Christian missions must approach non Christian religions by the perspective of not religious dialogue but intercultural understanding. Secondly, to help for the survivals of migrants and conquests of social discrimination in Korean society, Korean churches have to support their settlement by their own ways and spontaneously, encourage them to establish not only their own identity in Korean society but also Christian identity based on their culture. Finally, Korean churches should transfer national churches to multicutural churches for ‘multicultural living-together and mission of international comprehension'
