국문 초록

본 연구는 다문화교육활동의 문제점들을 NGO, 학교, 공공기관 그리고 다문화가정 아동들에 대한 인터뷰를 통해 알아보고, 그들이 지각하는 인적자원개발교육에 대한 필요성을 분석한 후, 인적자원개발교육으로서의 다문화교육에 대한 제언을 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 질적연구방법에 의하여 NGO와 학교 그리고 공공기관의 다문화담당자들과 다문화가정 아동들을 인터뷰하고, 그들이 지각하는 다문화교육활동의 문제점들과 다문화교육으로서의 인적자원개발교육의 필요성을 정리하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 크게 두 가지로 정리될 수 있다. 첫째, 현재의 다문화교육활동은 교육대상의 차이를 고려하지 않고, 한글교육과 문화체험 위주로 이루어지기에 다문화가정 아동들과 부모들의 공감을 얻지 못하고 있다. 둘째, 다문화가정 아동들과 부모들 그리고 관련자들은 그들의 삶의 경험을 바탕으로 인적자원개발교육으로서의 다문화교육의 필요성에 대해 절감하고 있다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 정책의 변화와 다문화교육 내용의 중요도에 대한 재검토, 그리고 다문화교육의 공간과 관계, 활동의 변화를 위한 노력을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to provide suggestions for multicultural education as human resource development education after examining problems of multicultural education by interviewing NGO, schools, public organizations, and children from multicultural families, analyzing the necessity of human resource development education. The result of the interviews and analysis is summarized based on the principles of a qualitative research method. The results of this study are as follows. First, current multicultural education does not appeal to children and parents of multicultural families because it mainly consists of Korean language education and cultural experiences without considering the different circumstances that multicultural families are placed. Second, the children and parents of multicultural families and people related are acknowledging the necessity of multicultural education as human resource development education. In other words, children from multicultural families feel keenly that they need human resource development education, based on the analysis of their life experience. With these results, this study reviews the change of policies and the importance of multicultural education, providing suggestions for places and relations of multicultural education and efforts for change.
