초등학교 교사들의 태권도에 대한 인식

국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학교 교사들의 태권도에 대한 인식이 어떠한지를 알아보고 한국의 대표적인 문화인 태권도가 생활체육으로서의 역할 뿐만 아니라 초등학교 교육 속에서 나아가야할 방향을 모색하기 위하여 2008년 현재, 경기및 인천지역의 국․공립초등학교의 교사들을 모집단으로 설정한 후, 편의 표본 추출법으로 부천시와 인천시, 수원시, 용인시의 15개 국공립 초등학교에서 근무하는 교사, 총 340명을 설문조사하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.첫째, 성별에 따라 남교사가 여교사보다 태권도에 대한 인식이 높은 것으로 나타났고, 연령에 따라서는 35세~44세의 교사들보다 45세~54세, 55세 이상의 교사들이 흥미요인에서 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 담당학년에 따른태권도에 대한 인식의 차이는 고학년을 담당한 교사들이 저학년을 담당한 교사들보다 태권도의 무술적인 측면에대한 인식이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 체육교과전담경력이 있는 교사들이 태권도에 대한 인식 중 무술인식요인이 높게 나타났다.넷째, 교직경력에 따라 태권도에 대한 인식요인의 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to define objectively the primary school teacher's understanding of Taekwondo. As an object of this study, the researcher has set model group with the teachers of national public primary schools located in area of Gyeonggi-do and Incheon at present of 2008, and then, the researcher conducted the survey onto 340 teachers, who serve in 15 national public primary schools in Bucheon, Incheon, Suwon, and Yongin by using convenience sampling method. According to the population statistical characteristic of primary school teachers, it appeared that male teacher's understanding on Taekwondo is higher than that of female teachers, and also, according to ages, the teachers of 45-54 ages or over 55 age have much of interests on Taekwondo than teachers of 35-44 ages and the teachers in charge of high grade student have higher understanding in respect of military arts on Taekwondo than teachers in charge of low grade student. Together with this fact, many differences appeared in low grade reasons of understanding on Taekwondo according to the teaching experiences and between the teachers graduated the college of education and the teachers graduated the general university. Also many differences are appeared according to the participation or non-participation to sports for all or Taekwondo training experiences.
