국문 초록

본 연구에서는 다음과 같은 문제에 대해 논의하고자 한다. 첫째, 평생학습사회, 열린학습사회를 지향하는 사회에서 고등교육기관의 변화를 살펴보고 비형식교육 시스템에 관하여 고찰한다. 둘째, 직업세계에서 직업적 경험과 학점이 연계되는 경험학습이 대두되면서 경험과 학점의 연계 중요성에 관하여 고찰한다. 셋째, 우리나라 학점은행제 현황을 살펴 본 후 운영자와 졸업생의 심층면담을 한다. 이러한 면담을 토대로 운영의 문제점에 관하여 분류체계분석을 시도하여 앞으로 학점은행제가 나아가야 할 방향을 제시한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the study is to analyze the problems of present Credit Bank System and to develop the new system for efficient operation. For that purpose, the present study surveys theoretical bases of the Credit Bank System, which include the theories of lifelong learning society and the institutional background of System in Korea. Especially, this study operates in-depth interviews of the teachers and graduates involving in those systems. On the basis of these studies, suggestions for the Credit Bank System are constructed. The essential elements of the new Credit Bank Systems are: First, Autonomy of the educational institutions should be enhanced; Second, Time schedules of lectures in universities for students should be flexible; Third, Expansion of financial support like scholarship or loan for college education from the government is essential; Forth, Strengthening Relationships between educational institutions, industrial organizations and government agencies is essential; Finally, Advertisement campaign for the Credit Bank System is needed.
