유아 다중지능(MI) 향상을 위한 재능계발 프로그램 연구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 발달 초기에서부터 유아가 지닌 개별적 재능의 강약점을 발견하여, 개인특성에 따라 차별화된 재능계발 프로그램을 적용한다는 것이 매우 중요하다는 관점에서 유아의 “다중지능(MI) 향상을 위한 재능계발 프로그램” 개발 연구를 실시하였다. 본 연구는 2차에 걸쳐 진행되었는데, 1차 연구(2006)는 유아용 다중지능(MI) 검사개발 연구였으며, 2차 연구인 본 연구는 1차 연구에 기반을 둔, MI 향상을 위한 재능계발 프로그램에 관한 연구이다. 1차 연구인 유아용 다중지능 검사의 타당화 과정에서 유아기에는 지능이 세분화되어 발달되지 않음을 확인하여, 8개 지능을 기본으로 하되, 언어, 논리수학/공간, 개인 내/대인간, 자연, 신체운동/음악 지능의 5개 지능영역으로 구분하여 프로그램을 개발하였다. 프로그램 개발 후, 유아교육현장에 적용하여 프로그램의 효과를 검증하였다. 본 유아용 MI 프로그램은 나선형(spiral) 교육과정에 근거한 프로그램으로, 연령별로 1단계(3세), 2단계(4세), 3단계(5세)의 단계를 설정하며, 각 다중지능 영역별로 기초, 탐색, 심화, 프로젝트의 4단계를 거치며 점차 범위와 깊이를 확대시켜 나간다. 특히 MI 모형을 기반으로 하므로, 1차로 다중지능 검사를 실시한 후 유아들의 강점과 약점 지능영역을 발견하고, 2차로 이를 강화, 보완할 수 있도록 프로그램을 적용시킬 수 있게 구성하였다.

영문 초록

Identification the diverse strong and weak abilities of preschoolers and then fostering their individual capabilities are very important tasks in early education. Though it is so important, it is also difficult because identification of ability is really not easy. In this reason, Lee (2007) developed a measuring instrument for identification the talent and characteristics of preschoolers which have validity and reliability as a 1st step of this study and as 2nd step, I developed MI program for fostering multiple intelligences of preschoolers based on the MI theory in this study. According to the previous studies (Gardner, 1983, 1990, 1993; Shearer, 1994) of multiple intelligence, human intelligence is divided 7 or 9 domains, linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial, musical, body-kinesthetic, natural, interpersonal, and intrapersonal. And intellectual traits might be related with cultural and social condition. However, according to the results of Lee (2007), I included 5 domains of intelligence, linguistic, logical-mathematical/spatial, musical/body-kinesthetic, and natural, inter-intrapersonal, to make the capability development program for preschoolers. In this study, I suggested MI Model to constructed "Capability Development Program for Preschooler." This program was developed on the basis of the theory of MI of children who were 3 years old to 5 years old. After developing the program, I identified the effectiveness of the program in improving the multiple intellectual abilities. Therefore, it is hoped that the MI program for young children developed in this study will be utilized a선s an education program that enhances young children's multiple intelligence in the education field.
