결혼이민여성 부부집단 프로그램의 개발과 평가에 관한 시론적 연구 - 필리핀 여성 부부를 중심으로

국문 초록

  최근 우리 사회에 결혼이민여성이 증가하고 있으며, 이들 부부는 결혼생활을 적응하는 데 어려움을 겪고 있다고 보고되고 있다. 이 연구는 결혼이민여성 중에서도 필리핀 여성에 초점을 맞추어 그들 부부를 위한 집단 프로그램을 개발하여 효과를 평가하는 시론적 연구이다. 본 프로그램은 결혼이민여성 부부의 특성인 결혼의 도구적 성격, 남편의 가부장적 특성, 배우자 나라의 언어나 문화에 대한 상호 이해 부족, 가정폭력의 높은 가능성, 지지자원 미약 등을 기반으로 하여 이에 적합한 내용으로 구성되었다. 프로그램 목표는 부부적응도 향상으로서, 부부 4쌍을 대상으로 시행되었으며, 평가결과는 다음과 같다. 프로그램 효과 평가 면에서, 부부적응도의 총점은 사전에 비하여 사후에 통계적으로 유의미한 향상을 보이지 않았으나, 하위영역인 애정표현과 부부만족에서는 통계적으로 유의미한 향상을 보였다. 프로그램 과정 평가 면에서 참가자들은 각 회기의 프로그램이 일상생활, 특히 부부간의 애정표현과 의사소통에 도움이 된다고 응답하였고 집단역동의 여러 요인에서도 도움되었다고 응답하였다. 또한 사례분석은 이런 연구결과를 뒷받침하고 있다. 연구결과를 기반으로 몇 가지 실천적 토의와 제언을 하였다.

영문 초록

  Recently the number of foreign women is increasing, who immigrate to Korea with marrying Korean men. It is reported that many of them are experiencing difficulties, mainly marital problems. The objective of this study is to develop and evaluate group program focused Filipina-Korean couples for the purpose of improving their marital adjustment.
  The program was developed based on the characteristics of intermarriages in Korea. They are as follows: marriage as an instrument, husbands" patriarchal attitudes, ignorance of the culture and language of spouses" country, potential wife abuse, weakness of supportive network for wives.
  The program of 8 sessions was implemented for 4 couples and the results of the program evaluation are as follows. Firstly, the pre and post-test showed that the sum scores of dyadic adjustment did not show statistically meaningful improvement, although two sub-scores of the measure did, such as affectional expression and dyadic satisfaction. Secondly, the contents of the program were evaluated as helpful for every-day life, especially in regard of affectional expression and communication between the couple. Based on the results, several practical suggestions were made: developing non-verbal way of communication between them, providing follow-up services, activating a support group for wives and program for children, facilitating a program for newly-wed interracial couple. Finally it is suggested that stable size of the experimental group, the existence of control group, qualitative analysis would ensure the generalization of the result of future researches.
