영문 초록

  This research focused on self-conception and body image formation of the students of dance department and general students and to find out how this influences on self-conception and body image of the students. This thesis consists of two universities in Seoul. One is K and the other is E and main research object is the female students of dance department and general females of other department. The number of students are 396.
  The comparison and analysis about self-concept and body image of dance major students and general students through these research and procedures are just as follows.
  1. According to the result of analysis about self-concept of dance major students and general students, self-conception of dance major students and general students is proved that the former is higher in social, lineal, body image self-conception than the later meaningfully.
  Social self-conception is proved that there is meaningful difference in meaningful level(p＜0.01) statistically dance department students: 3.26+0.35, general students: 3.18+0.29.
  Lineal self-conception is proved that there is meaningful difference in meaningful level(p＜0.001) statistically dance deparment students: 3.10+0.31, general students: 2.94+0.28.
  Physical self-conception is proved that there is meaningful difference in meaningful level(p＜0.05) statistically dance department students: 2.93+0.36, general students: 2.81+0.36l.
  And there is no meaningful difference in researching of the result of body-image.
  2. There is no significant difference that the result of research about self-conception and body image according to the major type of dance department students.
  3. There is no significant difference that the result of research about self-conception and body image according to the academic year of dance department students.
