영문 초록

  The field of logistics and supply chain management is becoming strategically important. At the same time, it is becoming increasingly complex because of the rapid advances in management methods, e-commerce, technology and enabling information systems. Professional logistics such as the 3rd or the 4th Party Logistics integrates the supply chain function to achieve maximum benefits. A professional providers are supply chain integrators that assemble and manage the resources, capabilities and technology of their organizations with those of complementary service providers to deliver a comprehensive supply chain solution.   Fourth Party Logistics(4PL) is the next significant evolution in supply chain outsourcing. The 4PL could internalize the cross-country production and marketing in the frame of supply chain management among the firms at home and host countries. There has been a greater concern for professional logistics service providers as a way of focusing on the core-business and thus increase competitiveness to survive and it is prospected logistics outsourcing market will be expanding with rapid speed.   The professional service providers" logistics activation and competitive power should be reinforced and they primarily require a foundation for the real introduction, and the necessity of its introduction should be recognized in overall industries. The whole companies should try to introduce the 3rd and the 4th party logistics as their mail policies to get their competitiveness in the world markets. Also the government also should try to reduce and abolish all the policies which obstacle international logistics.
