영문 초록

Due to the successful economic development planning Korea has advanced a step toward industrialization and urbanization. The industrialization has effected upon the inequal distribution of income and depended the pollution. The urbanization impacts the distribution of the population: The urban-rural ratio and the sex-ratio has been wide. Due to the successful economic development planning Korea has advanced a step toward industrialisation and urbanisation. The industrialization has effect upon the inequal distribution of income and deepen the poliution. The urbanisation impacts the distribution of the population: The urban-rural ratio and the sex-ratio has been wide. This attempts to analyze the distribution of working women who participated in the manufacturing and to find out the spatial change in the secondary activities. For the study the data were obtained from the Ministry of Labor and Economic Planning Board. The collected data were analyzed statistically with the aids of computer techniques. For the analysis the population in 1970 and in 1985, index of industrialization, the change in the population from 1970 to 1985 and number of women working forces are selected as variables. The six variables are analyzed with the technique of factor analysis and of the cluster analysis. The result may be summarized as follow: 1. Men working forces and women working forces are different from the point of view of location. The former are concentrated in the heavy industrial region and the latter are concentrated in the light industrial region but this trends has been changed. That is, some of the women working forces participated in heavy industrial activities such as mechanic and metals. 2. Before the 1970 the working forces concentrated in the metropolitan area of Seoul and in 1985 the working forces tend to spread to Seoul-Pusan corridor, that is, the polarization of the industrialization rose up into two. 3. The region based upon the women working forces is classified into five group; industrial region, semi-industrialized region, unindustrialised region, (1,2), and unclassified region; the industrial region localized in the metropolitan area and southeast industrial belt. The semi-industrialized region localized in the peripheral area of the industrialized rgion. The coastal and inner area of the peninsular which are remote from the urban center represented the characteristics of the unindustrialized region.
