영문 초록

The most recent, a immense change that Korean publishing has been confronted is boom of practical book publishing book centering on books of the art of living. A special characteristics is that these books of the art of living is written by unknown authors that is not appraised. According to the entrance on the stage of these unknown authors, at the Korean publishing world, the practical book has overwhelmed the literary book and other field on kinds and merchandising quantity. Taking notice of these Korean publishing trend, we have been studied immensely on cultural change of Korean society that making the lowest stream of increasing of practical book and the entrance on the stage of unknown authors. And making a stepping-stone of these discussions, we want to diagnose the problem of Korean publishing world, trying to find a right solution. As a result, we have find that structure intervention of Korean society and instability of the job according to that, deeply have influenced to the publishing tendency. And under the influence of that tendency, unknown authors based on practical knowledge and substantial message have emerged to new writers, leaving out famous literary men and professors. But on the other hand, books of the art of living have influenced badly on Korean publishing world. Above all, these books are based on commercial motivation. As a result, they have looked away creation of culture that making original function of publishing, have instigated imitation publishing. And they have been fostered a speculation on publishing, strengthened rules of capital. This capital that connected cultural capital have brought about a reaction blocking up appearance of new publishing generation. Finally, they emphasis a commercial human than a man of sincerity, have brought up consequence that has distorted human nature. Confronted unexampled social change, books of the art of living that well-matched new paradigm are needful publications above all. But we need a message that nicely paired with the realities of life on Korean society than message of hollowness. And they must be changed to contents heading toward positive humanity with an appreciative eye that looking squarely the root cause of social contradiction. So, recovering original function of publishing, the future of Korean publishing is brightened more.
