국문 초록

본 연구는 현대자동차의 자동자기술발전의 과정을 조직학습 관점에서 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 통해 현대자동차가 어떤 경로를 통하여 자동차 지식을 획득하게 되는지에 대한 이해를 가지고자 하였다. 현대자동차의 자동차기술발전 과정을 이해하기 위하여 조직학습모형이 제시되었다. 한편 이러한 경로추적만으로는 현대자등차의 급속한 양적 질적 성장을 설명하기 어렵다. 이를 설명하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 현대자동차가 선진기술을 어떻게 가속도적으로 따라잡았는지에 대한 메커니즘을 규명하였다. 탐험과 활용을 통한 메커니즘이 제시되었다.

영문 초록

This study reviewed trajectories of the automobile technology development of Hyundai Motor Company in the perspective of organizational learning. By doing this, the current study was trying to understand how Hyundai Motor Company acquired necessary automobile technology ultimately leading to one of worldwide companies. To do this, a theoretical organizational learning framework was developed. However, with only understanding of trajectories of the automobile technology development it had limitations to explain quantitative and qualitative growth of Hyundai Motor Company. To supplement the limitations, this study explored a mechanism how Hyundai Motor Company acceleratedly caught up advanced automobile technologies. Exploration and exploitation were suggested as the mechanisms.
