국문 초록

본 연구는 한 한국인의 미국기업에서의 근무체험 수기를 통해 학습조직에 관한 스토리 텔링 (story telling)의 사례를 소개하고 이를 통해 한국기업에 가치있는 교훈을 찾는데 목적이 있다. 스토리 텔링을 통해 조직내의 개인은 자기 자신과 조직을 다른 각도에서 바라볼 수 있고 그에 따른 새로운 인식과 관점, 그리고 정체성에 따라 결단을 내리고 행동올 변화시킬 수 있다. 체험 수기에서 인용된 스토리 텔링은 학습조직을 실제적 현실세계의 맥락에서 이해하고 구체적인 교훈을 찾는데 유용하다. 본 연구는 먼저 스토리 텔링의 특정에 대해 논의한 후 실패로부터의 학습, 지식의 축적과 활용, 팀획과 정보공유, 개방적 커뮤니케이션 그리고 자기개발의 다섯가지 주제에 관한 스토리를 소개하고 이를 통해 얻을 수 있는 교훈이 무엇인지 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to introduce story telling about learning organization of an American company from a note of job experience by a Korean and based on this case of story telling to suggest lessons valuable to Korean company. Story telling enables the individuals in an organization to see themselves and the organization in a different light, and accordingly take decisions and change their behavior in accordance with these new perceptions, insights and identities. Story telling cited from a note of job experience is useful for understanding learning organization in the context of real world and learning specific lessons. It is examined what the storytelling is characterized as and story tellings about five themes including learning from failure, accumulation and use of knowledge, teamwork and information sharing, open communication, and sef-development is introduced. Then it is suggested what we learn from these stories.
