영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to assess the home nursing care needs and to obtain basic data for home nursing care service model in an urban low income area. Household survey was conducted in the Sung-Seo low income area of Taegu City from 1 July to 10 August1996. Well trained one home health nurse and three nursing students interviewed with a respondent of each household who agreed to answer the questionnaire 501 households were selected by one-stage simple cluster random sampling. The results were summarized as follows 1. The acceptance rate of home nursing care 71.3% of respondents wanted to receive home nursing care Married and live with spouse(76.2%), divorced or separated(64.6%), and spouse died (59.0%) wanted to receive home health nursing care. The rate by age were 78.2% on their thirties and 59.2% on their fifties. The younger their age was the higher their acceptance rate. The rate by number of family were living alone(62.5%), two family members (65.0%), three (72.2%), four (72.4%) and five and up (80.8%). The more number of family was the higher acceptance rate. The rate of those who have medical insurance for government employees & private school teachers and occupational employees beneficiaries(72.9%), those who have medical insurance for regional beneficiaries(74.5%) were higher than those who have medical aid beneficiaries(65.3%). When they have no medical insurance or medical aid coverage, the rate was very low(37.5%). When they were admitted to hospital during last one-year period, the acceptance rate was higher(80.4%), than none admitted group(70.3%) 2. Home health nursing care service content. The researcher asked whether the 22,000won was adequate or not for one visit including transportation expenses 63.3% of respondents wanted medical treatment and nursing care and 14.2% of them wanted health education 20.0% of respondents didn't know what kind of service they can receive and 2.6% of them answered that they don't need home health nursing care. 3. The adequacy of the cost of home nursing care 61.7% of respondents were answered as proper, but 22.0% of them were answered as high. The younger age groups, the higher educated groups and the more number of family members answered the cost was proper. 4. Who has to pay the home nursing care expenses ?: 44.3% of respondents answered medical insurance has to pay, all the expenses 34.9% of them answered medical insurance and care receiver has to pay together, 5.6% of them answered care receiver has to pay all the expenses. The old age groups answered medical insurance has to pay all the expenses and the young age groups answered medical insurance and care receiver has to pay together. 44.4% of those who have medical insurance for government employees & private school teachers and occupatioal employees beneficiaries and 40.2% of those who have medical insurance for regional beneficiaries answered medical insurance has to pay all the expenses. But 54.5% of those who have medical aid beneficiaries answered medical insurance has to pay all the expenses.
