국문 초록

이 연구는 현대 교회 건축의 통합성을 신앙과 정신건강의 관점에서 분석하고, 신학적 의미와 실천적 가치를 통합한 교회 공간의 중요성을 탐구한다. 한국 교회 건축의 개방성, 접근성, 쾌적성 등의 건축적 요소와 포용성, 교육성, 거룩성 등의 신학적 요소를 중심으로, 교회 건축이 신앙인에게 미치는 심리적·영적 영향을 논의한다. 또한, 문학치료와 Paul Tillich의 상관관계 방법론을 활용하여, 교회 건축과 신앙인 간의 상호작용을 설명한다. 이 연구는 교회 건축이 단순히 물리적 공간을 넘어 기억과 애도의 장소로 기능하며, 지역 사회와 통합되는 공적 자산으로 자리잡아야 한다고 제안한다. 이를 통해, 교회 건축은 신앙적 회복과 지역사회의 치유를 실현하는 공간으로 발전할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes the integrative nature of modern church architecture from the perspectives of faith and mental health, exploring the significance of integrating theological meanings with practical values in church spaces. Focusing on architectural elements such as openness, accessibility, and comfort, alongside theological elements like inclusiveness, education, and sanctity, the paper examines the psychological and spiritual impacts of church architecture on believers. Utilizing literary therapy and Paul Tillich’s method of correlation, it highlights the interactive dynamics between church architecture and its users. The study proposes that church buildings should function not only as physical spaces but also as places of remembrance and mourning, serving as public assets that harmonize with the community. By doing so, church architecture can evolve into a space that fosters spiritual restoration and societal healing.
