본 연구는 학대 피해 경험이 있는 아동에게 미술치료 프로그램을 적용해보고, 아동의 자아존중감과 또래관계를 중심으로 변화과정을 살펴보고자 하였으며, 아동의 변화가 학부모와 담임교사에게 주는 영향을 살펴보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 초등학교 5학년 아동을 대상으로 미술치료 프로그램을 12회기 진행하였으며, 본 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 미술치료 프로그램에 참여한 아동의 자아존중감은 학교와 가정 영역을 중심으로 향상되었고, 또래관계에서도 긍정적인 변화를 보였다. 둘째, 외상 후 스트레스 반응 및 스트레스 척도, 우울 척도의 사전·사후 검사를 비교·분석한 결과, 아동의 외상 후 스트레스 반응 및 스트레스 정도와 우울 점수가 감소하였음을 확인하였다. 셋째, 아동의 변화와 더불어 부모의 양육태도 변화와 담임교사의 스트레스 정도를 살펴본 결과, 부모 양육태도의 긍정적 변화와 담임교사의 스트레스 감소의 변화를 확인하였다. 본 연구 결과가 학대 피해 아동을 위한 프로그램 개발 및 상담의 기초자료가 되기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine changes in elementary school students' self-esteem and peer relationships, abuse damage, and children's post-traumatic stress response, stress, and depression when applying art therapy programs to elementary school students who have experienced abuse. To this end, a single case study was conducted as an art therapy program for children affected by abuse in the 5th grade of elementary school, and the main results of this study are as follows. First, the self-esteem of children who participated in the art therapy program showed a distinct improvement at school and at home, and positive changes in peer relationships. Second, as a result of comparing and analyzing the post-traumatic stress response and stress scale, and the pre- and post-test related to child depression, it was confirmed that children's depression, post-traumatic stress response, and stress level decreased. Third, in the process of children's participation in art therapy programs, there was a positive change in parents' parenting attitudes and a change in stress reduction of homeroom teachers. It is expected that the results of this study will serve as basic data for program development and counseling for children who need to be abused.
