국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학교에서 실시되고 있는 본 연구는 초등학교에서 실시되고 있는 교과담 임제 운영의 실제를 분석하고 이를 토대로 교과담임제의 발전 방안을 제시하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 부산광역시에 위치한 초등학교 중 교과담임제를 운영했거나 운영하고있는 학교에서 교과담임제에 참여한 교사 11명을 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하고, 학교의 현장 문서자료를 수집하여 그 내용을 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과, 교사들은 교사와 학생의 입장에 따라 초등학교 교과담임제 도입의 동기를 다르게 인식하고 있었다. 긍정적인 기대와 취약성이 공존하며, 중학교에서와의 다른 맥락적 특성이 나타났다. 운영 실태는 ‘계획 세우기’, ‘실천하기’, ‘반성하기’, ‘평가에 대한 피드백하기’로 구분하여 볼 수 있었다. 효과적이고 성공적인 교과담임제를 운영하기 위한 방안은 다음과 같이 제시되었다. 우선 교과담임제를 적극 안내하고 홍보하여 필요성에 대해 공감할 수 있도록 하고, 수업 시수와 과목 수를 줄이거나 교사의 수를 늘리고, 업무를 경감시키는 방안도 고려되어야 한다. 또한 학교별 실정에 따른 방법적 다양성을 추구하여 부분 교과담임제, 교과교실제, 교과군담임 제, 학력 취약 시기 활용 등 운영의 묘를 강구하는 것이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to propose development plans for the operating of the departmental system at Elementary schools by analyzing the awareness of elementary school teachers and the operating conditions. In order to achieve this objective, the following research questions were posed. In summary the main findings of this study are as follows. First, how do teachers perceive the departmental system at elementary schools? The perception was classified into four categories: “Motivation for introducing', 'Positive expectations', 'Vulnerability concerns” and “Contextual nature of the operations”. Second, how is the departmental system being managed? There is a process to this. It includes 'Building plans', “Practice”, “Reflection” and “Feedback” on operating this status. After planning its important to consider ‘the person who is willing to do work’, ‘collecting opinions’, ‘organizing teachers that are participating in the departmental system’, ‘choosing a curriculum’, ‘selecting subjects on both positive and negative. Third, the operating performance of the departmental system at elementary schools had ' actively shared information', 'reduced pressure, increased relaxation', 'open about school life” and “heightened intimacy”. On the other hand, teachers that thought in a departmental system has some difficulties such as “trouble in giving educational guidance”, “burden and responsibility because of the new system” and “trying to read other teachers’ mind.'
