국문 초록

본 연구는 교사의 개인특성에 따라 멘토링에 대한 인식의 차이가 있는지를 분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 분석결과 교사의 개인특성별로 멘토링에 대한 유의한 인식의 차이를 보였다. 먼저 성별에 따라 인식의 차이를 보였는데 남교사가 여교사보다 멘토링을 더 높게 인식하고 있었다. 또한 중등교사가 초등교사보다 높았으며, 사립학교에 근무하는 교사가 국공립학교에 근무하는 교사보다 멘토링을 더 많이 인식하고 있었다. 학력에서는 대졸교사보다는 대학원졸 교사가 멘토링의 하위변인 가운데 심리사회적 기능을 더 높게 인식 하고 있었던 반면에 교직경력은 적을수록 멘토링에 대한 인식이 점점 높아져 5년 이하인 초임교사가 가장 높게 인식하고 있었다. 이상의 결과를 기초로 하여 학교현장에 교사의 개인특성에 맞는 멘토링 제도의 도입 및 활성화 방안을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the study is to analyze the difference on the recognition of the mentoring according to teachers' personal characteristics. The results of analyzing the survey data, the recognition on the mentoring showed meaningful difference depending on teachers' personal characteristics. First of all, a male teacher had higher mentoring comparing with a females teacher. Also a secondary school teacher was found to have mentoring more than an elementary school teacher, and a private school teacher showed larger recognition on the mentoring than a taxpaid teacher. A teacher who had graduated from the graduate school had higher mentoring than a teacher who had graduated from the university. On the other hand, the less school career, the higher mentoring. Thus, the beginning teacher having not more than 5 years of the teaching career showed the highest recognition on the mentoring. It was discussed to review the introduction and application of the customized mentoring program, of which organization is depending on teachers' personal characteristics based on the conclusion as mentioned above.
