국문 초록

본 연구는 중국에서 부모가 도시로 이주하여 취업하고 있는 동안 농촌에 남겨져 있는 중국 유수아동((留守兒童, left behind children)의 게임이용 실태와 게임중독에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 자료 수집을 위해 중국 귀주성 농촌의 2개 초등학교 5-6학년 재학생과 중학교 1-2학년 재학생 중 유수아동 419명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 게임중독에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 주요 변인으로는 게임동기, 부모와의 관계, 대리양육자의 양육태도, 생활스트레스를 포함하였다. 자료 분석을 위한 통계는 SPSS Windows 26.0을 사용하였으며, 척도의 타당도 확립을 위해 요인분석, 각 변수에 대한 빈도분석 등의 기술통계, 상관관계분석, t-test, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유수아동의 일반적인 특성에 따른 집단 간 비교분석에서, 게임중독의 점수가 더 높게 나타난 경우는 남학생, 초등학생, 가정 형편이 빈곤하다고 여기는 아동, 부모가 먼 도시에서 일하는 아동, 평일 및 주말 게임 시간이 더 긴 아동이었다. 둘째, 여러 독립 변수들의 상대적인 영향력을 고려하여 분석하는 다중회귀분석 결과, 게임중독에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인은 게임동기 중의 하위요인인 도전성취 동기였으며, 그 다음으로 학교생활스트레스, 부모와의 관계, 성별(남자)로 나타났다. 유수아동의 게임중독을 예방하기 위해 가정 및 학교에서 노력해야 할 부분에 대해 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the actual conditions of game use and the factors affecting game addiction of left behind children in Chinese rural areas while their parents migrated to the city and got a job. To collect the data, a survey was conducted on 419 children among the 5th and 6th graders of two elementary schools and the 1st and 2nd graders of middle school in rural areas in Guizhou Province, China. The main variables that can affect game addiction included game motivation, relationship with parents, parenting attitude of surrogate caregivers, and life stress. SPSS Windows 26.0 was used for data analysis, and factor analysis for the validity of the scale, descriptive statistics such as frequency analysis for each variable, correlation analysis, t-test, and multiple regression analysis were performed. The main results of the study are as follows. First, in the comparative analysis between groups according to the general characteristics of left behind children, the cases in which game addiction scores were higher were male students, elementary school students, children who answered that their family circumstances were poor, children whose parents worked in distant cities, and children who spend longer game time on weekdays and weekends. Second, as a result of multiple regression analysis in consideration of the relative influence of various independent variables, the factor that had the greatest influence on game addiction was challenge achievement motivation, a sub-factor of game motivation, followed by school life stress and relationship with parents, gender (male). In order to prevent the game addiction of children, the efforts to be made at home and school were suggested.
