청소년이 지각한 부모양육태도와 교사와의 관계가 시민의식에 미치는 영향: 자아존중감의 매개효과 및 학교급과 성별의 조절효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 초·중·고등학생들이 지각한 부모양육태도와 교사와의 관계가 시민 의식에 미치는 영향과 이때 자아존중감이 매개하는지를 구조적으로 살펴보았다. 또한 학년급과 성별에 따른 조절효과가 있는지도 확인하였다. 이를 위하여 경기교육원이 실시한 2012년(초등학교 4학년)부터 2021년(고등학교 3학년)까지의 경기도교육종단연구 자료를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0과 AMOS 21.0을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초·중·고등학생이 지각한 부모양육태도와 교사와의 관계는 자아존중감에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며, 시민의식에도 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 부모양육태도와 교사와의 관계 그리고 자아존중감도 시민의식에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 초·중·고등학생이 지각한 부모양육태도와 교사와의 관계와 시민의식 사이에서 자아존중감의 매개효과를 살펴본 결과, 부분매개를 하고 있음을 확인하였으며, Bootstrapping을 통하여 간접효과 검증을 실시하였다. 셋째, 초·중·고등학생이 지각한 부모양육태도, 교사와의 관계, 자아존중감, 시민의식 간의 인과관계 영향력 크기는 학교급 및 성별에 따라 차이를 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 최근 중요시 되고 있는 시민의식을 함양하는데 부모요인과 학교에서의 교사 요인 그리고 자아존중감이 어떻게 영향을 미치는지를 확인하였다는데 그 의의를 두고 있다.

영문 초록

This study structurally examined the effects of parents' parenting attitudes and teacher relationships perceived by elementary, middle, and high school students on civic consciousness, and the mediator role of self-esteem. In addition, it was confirmed whether there was a moderating effect according to school level and gender. For this purpose, Gyeonggi-do education longitudinal study data from 2012 (4th-grade elementary school students) to 2021 (3rd-grade high school students) conducted by the Gyeonggi Education Center were used. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0. The research results are as follows. First, it was found that the parents' parenting attitude and the relationship with teachers perceived by elementary, middle, and high school students had a significant effect on self-esteem and civic consciousness. In addition, it was found that parents' parenting attitude, relationship with teachers, and self-esteem also had a significant effect on citizenship. Second, it was confirmed that elementary, middle, and high school students partially mediated the mediating effect of self-esteem between parental parenting attitudes perceived by elementary, middle, and high school students, relationships with teachers, and civic consciousness, and verified indirect effects through bootstrapping. Third, the magnitude of the causal influence between parental parenting attitudes, relationships with teachers, self-esteem, and civic consciousness perceived by elementary, middle, and high school students was different according to school level and gender. This study is meaningful in confirming how parental factors, teacher factors at school, and self-esteem affect cultivating citizenship, which has recently become important
