초등학생 진로연구의 현황 및 진로상담의 과제

국문 초록

이 연구에서는 최근 10년간 학술지에 게재된 초등학생 대상 진로상담 및 진로교육 관련 연구들을 검색하여 연구 동향을 분석하였고, 진로상담 관련 연구가 기여하는 부분을 확인하였다. 연구의 대상은 2011년에서 2020년 8월까지 학술지에 게재된 논문 184개였다. 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연도별 진로 연구의 게재 동향으로는 2011 년부터 2020년 8월까지 비교적 지속적으로 초등학생 진로관련 논문이 발표되었다. 학술지별로는 실과교육연구, 초등상담연구, 학습자중심교과교육연구, 진로교육 연구, 한국실과교육학회지의 순으로 진로관련 논문이 게재되었다. 둘째, 연구 주제별로는 초등학생의 진로발달 관련 변인 연구가 75편으로 가장 많았고, 진로프로그램 개발 및 효과검증 연구 71편, 연구동향 리뷰 및 메타분석 연구 12편 등이었다. 셋째, 초등학생의 진로발달과 관련한 변인을 탐색한 연구에서는 진로성숙, 진로포부, 진로인식, 진로발달 등이 종속변인으로 다루어진 경우가 많았다. 넷째, 진로프로그램의 개발 및 효과평가 연구에서는 실험집단과 통제집단 간 비교 연구가 46편, 실험집단, 비교 집단, 통제집단의 세 집단 간 비교연구가 4편으로 비교적 과학적인 검증 절차를 거쳐 프로그램 효과 검증이 진행된 것으로 나타났다. 진로상담프로그램으로는 독서상담, 아동과 부모참여 집단상담, 빈곤가정 아동 대상 집단상담, 강점기반 집단상담, 스트로크 활용 집단상담 등 상담의 이론을 적용한 프로그램이 다양하게 시도되고 있었다. 연구의 결과를 토대로 진로상담연구의 과제를 제시하였다. 초등학생 대상 진로상담연구의 과제로는 진로발달에 대한 종단 연구, 진로개인상담의 과정 및 성과연구, 최근의 진로상담이론과 경험적 연구결과를 통합한 진로개입 연구, 이주배경학생 등 다양한 배경을 가진 초등학생을 대상으로 한 지속적인 연구의 필요성 등을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

In this study, research trends were analyzed by searching career counseling and career education-related studies for elementary school students published in academic journals over the past 10 years. The subjects of this study were 184 papers published in academic journals from 2011 to August 2020. The main findings of the study are as follows. First, papers were published relatively continuously by year. Studies were published in the order of Journal of Korean Practical Arts Education Research, The Korean Journal of Elementary Counseling, The Journal of Leamer-Centered Curriculum and Instruction, and The Journal of Career Educational Research. Second, as for the research topic, there were 75 studies investigating variables related to the career development of elementary school students, 71 studies on career program development and progrmn effectiveness, and 12 studies on research trend review and meta-analysis. Third, studies that explored variables related to the career development of elementary school students adopted variables such as career maturity, career aspiration, career perception, and career development. Fourth, most research on career progrmn development and effectiveness evaluation adopted the comparative studies of experimental and control group. As for the career counseling programs, various programs applying counseling theories were developed, such as reading counseling program, strength-based group counseling program, and group counseling program using strokes. Based on the results of the study, tasks for career counseling research are described. Research agenda include longitudinal studies on career development, studies on the process and outcome of individual career counseling, career intervention studies that integrate recent career counseling theories and empirical findings, and continuous research on elementry school students with various backgrounds.
