노인의 교구 활동을 통한 회상요법 프로그램 적용에 따른 인지기능 변화

국문 초록

이 연구는 노인의 교구(퍼즐·블록) 활동을 통한 회상요법 프로그램 적용에 따른 인지기능 변화를 살펴보는 데 그 목적을 두었다. 본 연구를 위해 인천광역시에 거주하고 있는 특정 구 소재의 주간 보호 센터를 이용하는 노인 14명을 연구의 참여자로 선정하였다. 양적 연구를 위하여 IBM SPSS. 21. 프로그램을 이용하여 t 검정과 빈도분석을 하였다. 이 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교구 활동프로그램을 적용한 후 노인의 인지기능검사를 한 결과는 사후검사에서 사전검사 한 것에 비해 인지기능 평균이 높게 나타났고, 인지기능 6가지 하위 영역 모두에서 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 회상을 중심으로 교구 활동을 적용함으로써 노인의 인지기능이 증가하였고 긍정적인 효과를 보았다. 전반기 단계에서 대상자들이 서로에게 관심을 보이지 않았으며, 자신에 관한 이야기도 표현하지 않는 모습을 보였다. 중반기 단계에서는 서로 공감해주며 위로해 주는 모습이 보였으며, 언어적 표현이 증가하는 모습을 볼 수 있었다. 후반기 단계에서도 서로 간의 배려와 유대관계가 형성되었고, 교구(퍼즐·블록) 활동을 통해 함께 공유하며 적극적으로 참여하는 모습을 볼 수 있었다. 셋째, 교구 활동을 통해 회상요법 프로그램이 노인의 정서적 반응에 변화를 주는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 이러한 결과는 노인에게 있어서 지나온 생애를 회상하며 교구를 활용함으로 집단 내에서 상호작용 때문에 흥미 유발과 즐거움을 제공하고 인지적, 정서적으로 영향을 준 것으로 볼 수 있다. 교구 활동(퍼즐·블록)을 통한 회상요법 프로그램이 노인의 인지기능 향상과 유지에 변화가 있었다는 이 연구의 결과를 바탕으로, 노화로 인해 치매가 의심되는 노인들에게 인지기능 유지를 위한 유용한 프로그램으로 활용되기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

For this study, 14 elderly people who use the day care center in a specific district in Incheon Metropolitan City were selected as participants in the study. The test tools used questionnaires senior cognitive function tests (MMSE-K), life satisfaction measures (LSS), and a series of records of individual behavioral changes in the Recalling Act. In this study, we collected data by session while conducting parish activities and recall therapy programs through qualitative research used IBM SPSS. 21. program for quantitative research and conducted t-testing and frequency analysis. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, the results of MMSE-K showed a higher cognitive average compared to the pre-inspection, There were significant differences in all six sub-regions of cognitive function. Second, as a result of each session s program, the subjects showed no interest in each other in the first half of the year, nor did they express stories about themselves. And he did not voluntarily participate in the conversation. However, through parish activities, tension was relaxed and we began to get interested in each other little by little. The mid-term stage was seen to sympathize with and comfort each other, and verbal expressions were increasing. In the second half of the year, consideration and ties were formed between each other and through parish(puzzle·block) activities, they could be seen sharing and actively participating with each other. Third, through the teaching aid activities, recall therapy programs can be seen as changing the emotional response of the elderly. These results can be seen as recalling the past life for the elderly and using teaching aids, providing interest and enjoyment by interaction within the group and influencing them cognitively and emotionally. As a result of these studies, recall therapy programs through the teaching aid(puzzle·block) activity have changed the cognitive function of the elderly. We hope that it will be used as a useful program to maintain cognitive function for senior citizens who are suspected of dementia due to aging.
