교육실습에 대한 초등예비교사의 인식 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 교육실습에 대한 초등예비교사들의 인식을 조사하기 위한 탐색적 연구로서, 교육실습에 대해 초등예비교사들이 가지고 있는 전형적 인식상황, 도움이 된 점, 개선할 점 등을 조사하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 전형적 인식상황이란 사물, 개념, 상황 등과 같은 어떤 대상에 대해서 혹은 그와 관련해서 생각할 때 즉시적이고 자동적으로 떠오르는 상황을 말한다. 초등예비교사의 인식을 조사하기 위해 중부권의 한 교육대학교의 2학년 예비교사 32명을 연구대상으로 선정하여 개방형 설문을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 초등예비교사들은 ‘직접 수업하는 상황’, ‘수업을 참관하는 상황’, ‘아이들과 소통하고 노는 상황’ 등의 전형적 인식상황을 가지고 있었다. 둘째, 교육실습이 ‘수업 방법(노하우)’, ‘생활지도/학급경영 방법’, ‘전반적인 현장 분위기와 동향 파악’, ‘교직과 나에 대한 인식’ 등에 도움이 되었다고 응답하였다. 셋째, 좀 더 의미있는 교육실습이 되기 위해서는 ‘교육실습 기간/시기 조정’, ‘아이들과의 만남/소통 기회 확대’, ‘교육실습 환경 개선’ 등이 필요하다고 응답하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 교육실습과 관련된 몇 가지 시사점에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study was an exploratory study to investigate pre-service elementary teachers` views on teaching practicum. This study investigated pre-service elementary teachers` Typically-Perceived-Situations of teaching practicum and how practicum had been helpful for them and needed to be improved. TPS used in the study refers to the situation rising spontaneously and immediately in an individual`s mind when he/she faces a thing, a concept, and a situation, and so on. In order to investigate the perception of pre-service elementary teachers, 32 second-grade pre-service teachers at an university of education in the central region were selected. The results of analyzing these data showed: First, the pre-service elementary teachers had Typically-Perceived-Situations of teaching practicum such as ‘a situation that they are teaching students in the classroom’, ‘a situation that they are observing as a student teacher’, and ‘a situation that they are communicating and playing with students’. Second, the pre-service elementary teachers replied that the teaching practicum helped them to learn ‘how to teach’, ‘how to manage students and class’, ‘understanding the overall atmosphere and trends of school field’, and ‘recognition of teaching and myself’. Third, pre-service elementary teachers responded that ‘adjustment of the period/time of education’, ‘expansion of meeting/communication opportunities with students’ and ‘improving the environment of education practice’ were required for more meaningful teaching practicum. Based on these results, several implications for the teaching practicum were discussed.
