4년제 대졸자의 진로 및 취업준비행동이 첫 일자리 성과에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 4년제 대학 졸업 이후 첫 직장에 입직한 초기 취업자들의 일자리성과에 미치는 대학의 진로 및 취업 관련 경험의 영향을 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국고용정보원의 대졸자직업이동 경로조사(GOMS 2017) 데이터 중 4년제 대졸자의 데이터를 추출하여 분석하였다. 그 중에서도대졸자의 첫 일자리성과를 객관적 성과와 주관적 성과로 나누어 분석하였다. 주된 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 일자리성과 중 객관적 성과인 첫 직장 취업과 월 평균 임금에 대한 영향력 분석 결과, 대학에서의 경험 중 자격증이나 직업교육, 공모전 수상 등과 같은 활동을 하면 더 빠르게 입직하고, 학점과 영어점수가 높으면 월 평균 임금이 높았다. 대학에서 제공하는 취업캠프를 참여하여취업을 위한 준비를 한 학생일수록 더 빠르게 취업하고 임금도 높았으나, 단순한 기업채용설명회참여는 첫 직장 취업, 높은 월 평균 임금에는 도움이 되지 않았다. 둘째, 주관적 성과인 일자리나업무만족도의 경우, 대학재학 중 공모전 수상 경험이 있거나 직장체험프로그램을 이수한 경우, 일자리 만족도나 업무만족도는 낮았다. 그리고 진로취업 교과목 및 직장체험프로그램을 이수한 경우, 현재 일과 자신의 교육수준 간 일치가 높은 반면, 기업채용설명회 참여여부는 현재 일과 자신의 교육수준 간 일치가 낮게 나타났다. 이러한 결과로부터 청년층의 노동시장 이행 및 일자리 성과를 위해서 대학에서는 직장체험프로그램이나 진로취업 교과목과 같이 진로 교육을 바탕으로 개인의 삶의질을 높일 수 있는 경험을 제공할 수 있는 노력이 지속적으로 필요함을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to understand the effect of employment-related experiences on the job performance of early employed people who entered their first job after graduation from a 4-year university. For this, the data were analyzed from the Korea Employment Information Service s Vocational Movement Path Survey (GOMS 2017). In particular, the first job performance of university graduates was analyzed by dividing into objective performance and subjective performance. First, the results of the analysis of the impact on the first job employment and monthly average wage, which are objective achievements among job performances, are as follows. Graduates who received a certificate, vocational education, or contest award among their university experiences resulted in faster employment, and higher grades and English scores resulted in higher monthly average wages. Students who participated in the college-provided job camps and prepared for employment were more likely to find employment faster and higher wages. Second, in the case of subjective outcomes such as job satisfaction, job satisfaction and job satisfaction were low when they had received a contest while attending university or completed a work experience program. And then, in the case of completing career employment courses and work experience programs, the agreement between the current work and one s education level was high, whereas participation in the company recruitment briefing showed low agreement between the current work and one s education level. Based on the results of the study, it is necessary for universities to provide career education such as work experience programs or career-employment courses for young people s labor market transition and job performance. This suggests that efforts to provide experiences that can improve the quality of life of individuals are needed.
