예비유아교사의 정서지능과 교직인,적성의 관계 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 예비유아교사의 교직인·적성 향상을 위한 기초자료를 제공하기 위하여 예비유아교사의 정서지능과 교직인·적성의 관련성을 알아보고자 하였다· D시에 위치한 4년제 대학 유아교육과 학생 281명이 정서지능과 교직인·적성 검사에 응답하였으며, 정서지능과 교직인·적성의 관계를 알아보기 위해 상관분석과 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다· SPSS21·0에 의한 자료 분석 결과, 정서지능이 높은 집단과 낮은 집단 간의 교직인·적성점수는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었으며 정서지능이 높은 집단의 교직인·적성 점수가 높은 것으로 나타났다· 둘째, 교직인·적성에 대한 정서지능의 설명력을 분석한 결과 예비유아교사의 정서지능이 교직인·적성을 강하게 예측할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다· 정서지능이 교직인·적성 전체를 예측하는 설명력은 44·1%이고, 정서지능 중 교직인·적성을 가장 높게 예측할 수 있는 하위 변인은 사고촉진(34·5%)이었다· 정서지능이 교직인·적성 하위변인 중 가장 높은 설명력을 나타낸 것은 문제해결력·탐구력(25·0%)이었고, 문제해결력·탐구력을 설명하는 정서지능의 하위변인은 사고촉진, 정서활용, 정서조절로 파악되었다· 연구결과를 바탕으로 예비유아교사의 교직인·적성을 높이기 위하여 교사양성과정에서 정서지능을 유아교사의 직무역량으로 인식하고 이를 향상시킬 수 있는 방안에 대해 논의하였다·

영문 초록

This study investigated the relationship between emotional intelligence and teaching personality and aptitude of pre-service kindergarten teachers as a preliminary data to determine teaching personality and aptitude development. Two hundred eighty one students majoring in early childhood education in a university at D city responded to an emotional intelligence test and a teaching personality and aptitude test. In order to seek the relationship between emotional intelligence scores and teaching personality and aptitude scores, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed. Using SPSS 21.0, the results showed a statistically meaningful difference on the teaching personality and aptitude scores between groups, depending on the emotional intelligence scores. The group with the higher emotional intelligence score tended to show a higher teaching personality and aptitude score. The predictive power of the emotional intelligence on the total of teaching personality and aptitude was 44.1%, and the most powerful predictor among sub-components in the emotional intelligence was the promoting thought variable(34.5%). The most powerful predictor among sub-components in the teaching personality and aptitude was the problem solving and inquiry skills(25.0%). The sub-components in the emotional intelligence that predicted the problem solving and inquiry skills were thought promotion, emotional utilization, and emotional regulation. Based on the results, several ideas for the emotional intelligence development as a job competence were discussed and recommended to promote the teaching personality and aptitude in the teacher preparation course.
