국내 노인 여가활동에 관한 설문조사 연구

국문 초록

목적: 본 연구는 문헌고찰 및 설문조사를 통해 국내 노인의 여가활동을 조사함으로써 노인 여가활동에 대한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 연구방법: 서울, 경기, 충청, 전북 지역 노인 100명을 대상으로 노인 여가 활동에 대한 폐쇄형 설문과 실제로 본인이 참여하고 있는 여가 활동에 대한 개방형 설문을 실시하였다. 결과: 국내 노인들이 여가 시간에 주로 하는 활동에 대한 폐쇄형 설문조사 결과는 TV시청이 가장 높았고, 휴식, 산책/걷기, 국내 여행하기, 집안일(취미), 공원 가기 등의 순으로 나타났다. 노인들이 실제로 참여하고 있는 여가활동에 대한 개방형 설문조사 결과는 TV시청이 가장 많았고, 산책/걷기, 성경책/불경 읽기, 텃밭 가꾸기, 마을회관/노인정 가기, 집안일(취미) 등의 순으로 나타났다. 결론: 우리나라 노인의 여가활동은 TV시청과 같은 수동적인 활동에 가장 많이 참여하고 있고, 적극적인 여가활동은 참여비율이 비교적 저조한 편이다. 이러한 이유는 노인의 여가 인식 및 여가시간 활용이 낮기 때문이다. 작업치료는 여가 영역에 전문성을 가진 분야로써, 노인의 여가참여 활성화를 위해 지역사회 기반 작업치료를 강화하고, 노인 여가 탐색 및 참여를 촉진하기 위한 실질적인 방안을 마련하기 위해 노력해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

Objective: This study aims to provide basic data by surveying leisure activities of the elderly in Korea through literature review and surveys. Methods : It surveyed 100 senior citizens in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Chungcheong and North Jeolla provinces on closed-questionnaire of leisure activities of old people and open-questionnaire of leisure activities they actually participate in. Results: The results of a closed-questionnaire on activities that the elderly in Korea usually do in their leisure time showed TV viewing was the highest, followed by rest, walking/walking, traveling in Korea, housework(hobby) and going to the park. The results of an open-questionnaire of leisure activities that the elderly are actually participating in showed that TV viewing was the most popular, followed by walking/walking, reading the Bible/the Buddhist scriptures, gardening, going to the community center/the elderly, and doing housework(hobby). Conclusion: The leisure activities of the elderly in Korea are the most involved in passive activities such as watching TV, and the participation rate of the active leisure activities is relatively low. This is because the elderly have low awareness of leisure and use of leisure time. Occupational therapy is a field with expertise in the leisure area and should strengthen community-based work processes to promote leisure participation by the elderly, while preparing practical measures to promote leisure exploration and participation for the elderly.
