장애대학생의 보조공학서비스 지원을 위한 실태 및 요구조사

국문 초록

이 연구는 보조기기를 사용하고 있는 장애대학생 52명을 대상으로 학교생활의 어려움을 알아보고 보조공학적 해결 방안을 모색하며, 보조기기의 사용 실태와 대학 장애학생지원센터의 보조공학서비스 지원 실태 및 요구를 분석하여 개선 방안을 제시하고자 실시하였다. 설문지를 개발하여 면담 조사한 결과, 장애대학생들이 학교생활에서 겪는 다양한 어려움들 중에는 보조공학서비스를 통해 해결이 가능하거나 도움이 될 내용이 많은 것으로 파악되었다. 사용하고 있는 보조기기는 평균 1인당 1.7개 이상으로 대체로 만족하고 있었으나 고비용의 문제와 서비스 전달체계 상의 불만족이 있는 것으로 드러났다. 또한 대학 장애학생지원센터의 보조공학서비스는 일부 장애 유형에게만 특정 보조기기를 대여하는 형식으로 이루어지고 있어 학생들의 다양한 요구를 충족시키지 못하고 있었다. 이에 따라 장애학생지원센터의 보조공학 전문가 배치, 인근대학과의 보조기기 풀 구성을 통한 상호활용 시스템 구축 등의 수요자 중심 보조공학서비스의 필요성을 발견하고 이를 위한 방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research was to suggest the improved policies relating to assistive technology services that is supported for university students with disabilities. The survey data was gathered by way of individual interview and questionnaires of 52 students with disabilities who were using the assistive devices. The major results from this research was as followings: 1) most of the subjects have a multiple problems of college living which is solved or helpful by assistive technology services. 2) subjects used assistive devices more than 1.7 items per person and were satisfied with using devices, whereas they were not satisfied with high cost and service delivery system. 3) assistive technology service of support center for student with disabilities was focused on specific type of disabilities and assistive devices, so subjects expressed lower degree of satisfaction. According to these results, several ways in order to improve assistive technology services were suggested included set a assistive technology specialist at the center and organization of the pool of assistive device.
