집단음악치료가 사회복귀시설 정신장애 환자의 대인관계 향상에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 의존적이고 위축된 대인관계를 형성하여 사회복귀에 어려움을 겪고 있는 정신장애 환자들이 집단음악치료프로그램을 통해 적극적인 자세로 자기표현을 향상시키고 자신의 감정을 효과적으로 전달하는 경험을 통하여 대인관계의 향상으로 재활에 도움을 주고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구 대상은 D광역시 D재활센터를 이용하는 정신장애 환자들 8명이며 연구기간은 2012년 3월부터 2012년 6월까지 주 1회씩 70분간 사전·사후단계와 14회기를 D광역시 D재활센터 프로그램실에서 시행하였다. 본 연구의 검사도구로는 Schlein과 Guerney(1970)의 대인관계변화척도(RCS)검사를 사용하였으며 15개 문항으로, 하위영역으로는 만족감, 의사소통, 신뢰감, 친근감, 민감성, 개방성, 이해성 등 7개로 구성되었다. 통계프로그램인 SPSS 19.0을 활용하여 사전․사후 대응표본 t-test검정으로 집단음악치료의 대인관계의 결과를 검증하였다. 본 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 대인관계의 전체 평균은 긍정적인 효과를 나타내 통계적으로 유의미 하였다(p < .01. t = 5.798), 하위영역별로 살펴보면 만족감과 친근감, 이해성, 의사소통, 민감성이 향상되었고 개방성, 신뢰감에는 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 이러한 분석 결과는 사회복귀시설에서 직업재활 훈련을 받고 있는 정신장애 환자들의 대인관계 향상으로 미래를 계획하고 자기스스로 하고자 하는 동기부여를 가져 재활에 도움을 주고자 하는 것으로 집단음악치료프로그램을 통해 평소 단순 노래부르기 활동이 아닌 다양한 음악매체로 얻게 된 성취감과 자신감 그리고 집단원 간에 지지와 격려를 통해 대인관계에 향상이 될 수 있었다. 그러므로 본 연구는 사회복귀시설의 정신장애 환자의 재활프로그램으로 그 의의가 있다 하겠다. 그러나 본 연구는 국한된 소수의 인원을 대상으로 하였기 때문에 이 결과를 일반화하기에는 무리가 있으므로 후속연구로 다양한 집단음악치료프로그램을 개발하고 사회복귀시설에 적용하여 계속적인 연구가 진행되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is to help the mental disorder patients who have difficulty returning to their societies. With improving the ability to express themselves and of effectively expressing their emotion through group music therapy, researchers wanted to improve interpersonal relations. Research group includes eight mental disorder patients of the D Rehabilitation Center at D City. Research was conducted for about 60 minutes once a week from March to June, 2012. Pre and post stages and 14 sessions were conducted at the Center. The research tools include 15 questions of the Schlein and Guerney(1970)’s Relationship Change Scale test. There were seven sub-domains including sense of satisfaction, communication, sense of reliability, sense of intimacy, sensitivity, openness and comprehension ability. SPSS 19.0 was used to verify the effect of the group music therapy on interpersonal relations with pre and post paired t-test. The conclusions are as follows. Interpersonal relations’ total average showed positive effect (p < .01. t = -5.798). Sense of satisfaction and intimacy, comprehension ability, communication and sensitivity improved while openness and sense of reliability did not show significant difference. The results demonstrated that the patients with mental disorders’ interpersonal relations could be improved through sense of achievement, self-confidence, support and encouragement through diverse music mediums of group music therapy. However, this research groups were too small to generalize the results. Likewise, it is needed to develop diverse group music therapy programs in the future research and to apply the key findings to the community rehabilitation facilities.
