문화예술교육을 접목한 노인 자서전쓰기의 의미

국문 초록

본 연구는 노인 대상의 문화예술교육을 접목한 자서전쓰기 프로그램을 연구 대상으로 설정하고, 문화예술교육이 노인의 자기표현, 성찰, 자아통합 등에 있어서 어떠한 의미를 갖는지를 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 문화예술교육을 접목한 자서전쓰기 프로그램에 참여한 9명의 노인을 대상으로 비참여관찰, 심층면담, 뉴스레터, 강사일지, 자서전 등의 비개입데이터 자료분석 등을 통해 연구를 수행했다. 연구결과 자기표현에 있어서는 ‘긍정적 감성 샘을 자극하는 마중물’, ‘그림, 음악, 캘리그라피, 사진 위에 쏟아져 내리는 회상들’, ‘예술로 삶 표현: 삶 예술가로서 자서전쓰기’ 등의 의미를, 성찰에 있어서는 ‘문화예술교육이 선물로 준 삶의 쉼표’, ‘스스로 만든 작품을 함께 보면서 공유와 동질감 상승, 나의 의미로 연결’, ‘스토리텔링 활동을 통한 성찰과 삶 정리 시간’ 등의 의미를, 자아통합에 있어서는 ‘문화예술교육을 통해 추억의 구슬들로 꿰어낸 70년 인생’, ‘ 삶이 예술이라는 미적·긍정적 수용감, 자연의 섭리도 이해하는 심연의 배움으로 연결’ 등의 의미를 도출했다.

영문 초록

The study reports of an autobiography writing program combined with art and culture education for the elderly. The purpose of this study is to explore the meaning of culture and art education in self-expression, introspection, self-unity for the aged. This study was performed by methods of nonparticipant observation, in-depth interview, non-intervention data analysis. The data were collected from nine participants registered in s senior welfare center. The results are as follows: First, the main themes related to self-expression in art and culture education were ‘priming water stimulating a emotional spring,’‘the shower of recalls on the painting, music, calligraphy, picture,’and ‘life expression by art: an autobiography writing as a life artist.’Second, the themes with regards to introspection were ‘the present received by art and culture education, the rest of life,’‘the increase of sharing and homogeneity through appreciating self-made work together, join with my meaning,’and ‘the time of introspection and life arrangement through storytelling activity.’Third, the themes focused on self-unity were ‘70 years life stringing the beads of memory by art and culture education,’and‘beautiful, positive acceptance in which life is art, connecting with thoughtful learning understanding the providence of nature.’
