시각중복장애학생을 지도하는 초임 순회특수교사의 경험에 대한 내러티브 탐구

국문 초록

이 연구에서는 초임 순회특수교사가 시각중복장애학생을 만나 지도하고 적응하는 과정에서의 경험을 이해하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 특수교육지원센터에 근무하는 순회특수교사 한 명을 연구 참여자로 선정하였고, 내러티브 탐구 방법을 활용하였다. 2018년 11월부터 이듬해 1월까지 3개월 동안 연구 참여자와 정기적으로 만나 면담을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 순회특수교사가 시각중복장애학생을 지도하기 위해 적응하는 과정에서의 경험은 ‘시각중복장애라고? 왜 나여야 하지?’, ‘학생과의 만남, 그 후!’, ‘동분서주’, ‘삐걱거리는 시작’의 이야기로 구성되었다. 순회특수교사가 시각중복장애학생을 지도하는 과정에서의 경험은 ‘너의 성장이 조금씩 보여’, ‘같은 곳 바라보기’, ‘후회와 아쉬움’, ‘희망사항’의 이야기로 구성되었다. 이 연구의 결과는 향후 순회교육의 올바른 방향성과 순회특수교사의 전문성을 신장하는 방안을 마련하는 데 기초 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This research was designed to understand the experiences of a novice itinerant special education teacher in the process of teaching and adjusting to visual and multiple disability students. For this research, an itinerant special education teacher working in the special education support center was chosen and a narrative inquiry method was used. A researcher had met periodically the research participant and had an interview for three months from November 2018 to January 2019. As a result of the research, the experiences that the itinerant special education teacher went through in the process of adjusting to teaching the visual and multiple disability students are made up of the stories of ‘Why should it be me?’, ‘Meeting with the students, since then’, ‘Crisscrossing the country’, and ‘Shaky start’. The experiences that the itinerant special education teacher went through in the process of teaching the visual and multiple disability students consist of the stories of ‘Your growth is gradually seen.’, ‘Looking at the same place’, ‘Regret and wistfulness’, and ‘Wishful thinking’. The result of the research is able to be used as basic data in drawing up a plan to raise the right directions of itinerant education and the professionalism of itinerant special education teachers.
