영문 초록

Phone numbers are physical information carrying no meaning to humans. They correspond to IP addresses in internet. As IPs are represented by human friendly names, phone numbers can be related to meaningful strings to human. The standard proposal regards several issues such as completeness of meaningful name strings, facility of extending resources for each name string, and support of parametric queries. The linguistic motivation to optimize the semantics of names sets a goal to remove redundant or superficial elements from name strings. The notion of linguistically rich names with the generation of unlimited number of top level names alone requires the implementation of a new name resolution network scheme. The standard proposal is a comprehensive solution that resolves the issues and allows an unlimited extension of mapping resources as is needed by local applications of names.
