국문 초록

본 연구는 학령후기 남녀 아동을 대상으로 거부민감성과 또래관계의 질의 관계에서 정서조절방략의 매개효과를 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 초등학교의 5, 6학년 남녀 아동 총 355명을 대상으로 설문조사하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 이용하여 독립표본 t검정, 상관분석, 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 거부민감성과 또래관계의 질은 여아가 남아보다 높은 것으로 나타났으나, 정서조절방략은 남녀 아동 간의 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 남녀 아동의 거부민감성은 정서조절방략, 또래관계의 질과 부적 상관을 나타냈고, 정서조절방략과 또래관계의 질은 정적 상관을 나타냈으나 남아의 경우 거부민감성과 체험적 정서조절방략의 상관관계는 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 정서조절방략은 남녀 아동의 거부민감성과 또래관계의 질의 관계에서 부분 매개효과를 나타냈으나 인지적, 행동적 정서조절방략은 남녀 아동의 거부민감성과 또래관계의 질의 관계에서 부분 매개효과를 나타냈으나, 남아의 경우 체험적 정서조절방략의 매개효과는 나타나지 않았다. 본 연구는 학령후기 아동의 거부민감성과 또래관계의 질의 관계에서의 정서조절방략의 매개효과를 성별을 고려하여 규명하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the study was to investigate the mediating effects of emotion regulation strategy on the relationships between rejection sensitivity and quality of peer relationships of late school-aged children. For this, data was collected from total 355 elementary school students in 5th and 6th grades. The collected data were analyzed by t-test, Pearson’s correlation and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 22.0. The major results of this study were as follows. First, while there was no gender difference in emotion regulation strategy, rejection sensitivity and quality of peer relationships of girls was higher than boys. Second, rejection sensitivity was negative correlation with emotion regulation strategy and quality of peer relationships, emotion regulation strategy was positive correlation between quality of peer relationships but rejection sensitivity was not correlation with experiential emotion regulation strategy in case of boys. Third, emotion regulation strategy was partially mediated the relationships between rejection sensitivity and quality of peer relationships but experiential emotion strategy was not mediated the relationships between rejection sensitivity and quality of peer relationships in case of boys. This study is significant in terms of identifying gender difference about mediation effects of emotion regulation strategy between rejection sensitivity and quality of peer relationships of late school-aged children.
