일본의 사회과 문화유산 학습의 구성 원리 -‘토쿠시마현 PR 대작전Ⅱ’ 수업을 사례로 -

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 일본에서 실천되고 있는 사회과 문화유산 학습을 분석하여 그 구성 원리 를 구명하는데 있다. 이를 위해 일본의 문화유산 학습의 세 유형(공감적 이해형, 의사결정력 육 성형, 교양-감상형) 중 의사결정력 육성형에 해당하는 수업 실천 사례를 분석한 결과, 다음과 같은 네 가지 구성 원리가 밝혀졌다. 첫째, ‘문화재에 대한 학습’에서 ‘문화 행하기’로 진전하는 단원 계획으로 구성되어 있다. 둘 째, 교사의 문화유산에 대한 신념을 일방적으로 학생에게 전달·주입하는 것이 아닌, 복안사고를 통해 문화유산에 대한 의사결정을 하도록 구성하고 있다. 셋째, 내용과 방법적인 측면에서 열린 문화유산 학습의 구조를 지니고 있다. 넷째, 실제 수업에서 문화유산에 대한 학생들의 인식이 다양한 형태로 변용해가는 것을 볼 수 있다. 이러한 일본의 문화유산 학습은 지나친 교과서 의존형 수업으로 인하여 ‘문화 행하기’로 이 행하는데 어려움을 안고 있으며 현재와 단절된 과거 이해 중심의 문화유산 학습, 그리고 유형 문화유산 중심의 경도된 문화유산 학습이 주로 전개되고 있는 우리나라 문화유산 학습의 과제 를 극복하는데 중요한 단초를 제공한다는 점에서 큰 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to analyze cultural heritage learning in Japanese social studies and investigate its composition principle. To that end, an analysis was conducted on a case study that falls into the type to develop the decision-making ability among the three types of Japanese cultural heritage learning: empathic understanding, development of the decision-making ability and cultural appreciation) and the following four composition principles were found as a result: First, the lesson is composed of the unit plans from ‘learning of cultural heritage’ to ‘practicing culture’. Second, encouragement for the students to make decisions on cultural heritage based on insightful thinking is suggested rather than a unilateral delivery or cramming of teacher’s principle to the students. Third, it has an open structure to study cultural heritage from the aspects of content and methods. Fourth, it is possible to observe the students’ conceptual change of cultural heritage into various forms in the actual class. Such Japanese cultural heritage learning holds significance in providing an important clue to overcome the challenges of cultural heritage learning of South Korea.
