사례기반학습의 적용에 따른 간호대학생의 문제해결력, 내적 동기와 수업 만족도의 차이

국문 초록

본 연구는 간호대학생을 대상으로 전공 이론 수업에 사례기반학습을 적용한 후 기존의 강의식 수업을 실시한 대조군과 문제해결력, 내적 동기와 수업 만족도 차이를 비교함으로써 사례기반학습의 효과를 평가하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 참여자는 서울시 소재 일 전문대학 간호과 2학년에 재학 중인 학생으로 실험군 34명, 대조군 37명이다. 임상의 다빈도 사례를 바탕으로 사례별 시나리오를 개발한 뒤 간호학 교수 및 임상 전문가 4인에게 타당도 평가를 받고 수정 보완 단계를 거쳐 최종 6개의 사례 시나리오를 개발하였다. 실험군을 대상으로 사례기반학습을 6주 동안 12시간 실시하였으며 대조군을 대상으로 같은 기간 동안 강의식 수업을 실시하였다. 6주 간의 교육 후 연구 참여자들을 대상으로 문제해결력, 내적 동기와 수업 만족도를 조사하였다. 연구 결과, 사례기반학습을 실시한 실험군의 문제해결력과 내적 동기는 대조군에 비해 유의하게 향상되었다. 그러나 실험군과 대조군 간의 수업 만족도에는 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 간호 교육에서 학생들의 문제해결력과 내적 동기를 향상시키기 위한 전략으로 사례기반학습의 활용을 제언한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of case based learning(CBL) on the problem solving ability, intrinsic motivation, and course satisfaction of nursing students, and to compare the effect of CBL with that of traditional learning. Participants were sophomore nursing students of A university located in Seoul. The subjects were consisted of 34 nursing students in the experimental group(CBL) and 37 nursing students in the control group(traditional learning). The validity of the case scenarios was evaluated by four nursing professors and clinical experts. The time for data collection and intervention program was from April 1, to May 30, 2014. The CBL intervention was applied to experimental group once a week, two hours per session for six weeks. The data were analysed using SPSS WIN 18.0 Program. The homogeneity of the general characteristics and the dependent variables at pretest between two groups was tested by use of χ2-test and independent t-test. The differences of dependent variables between two groups at posttest was analysed using paired t-test and independent t-test. The results of this study are as follows: 1. In the homogeneity test, there was no significant difference between the two groups. 2. The problem solving ability(t=-2.108, p=.039) and intrinsic motivation(t=-1.987, p=.048) of the experimental group were significantly more improved than the control group after CBL intervention. 3. In terms of comparing with two groups, course satisfaction(t=-.630, p=.531) was not different significantly. In summary, the results demonstrated that CBL contributed to improve problem solving ability and intrinsic motivation of nursing students. Therefore, it is recommended that CBL need to be used to be a part of teaching and learning methods in nursing education.
