영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of violence experience and self-esteem on career identity in nursing students during the clinical practice. Methods: Data from 231 students in the fourth grade of nursing were collected by a structured self-report questionnaire. Statistical analysis of independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis was performed through the SPSS/WIN 25.0. Result: Most common type of violence was verbal violence and abusers were patients. Career identity showed a significantly positively correlation with self-esteem (r=.420, p<.001). The predictors on career identity were major satisfaction, self-esteem, and clinical practice satisfaction. Our model explained 47.1% (F=69.396, p<.001). Conclusions: These results suggest that strategies for improving major satisfaction, self-esteem and clinical practice satisfaction are needed to improve career identity of nursing students.
