영문 초록

This article explored a variety of factors that directly and indirectly influenced musical self-efficacy of elementary students. Factors related to musical self-efficacy included previous musical experience, perceived teacher expectancy, parental support in music, home and school musical environment. This study was to investigate the relations among factors by using the path analysis. The summary of the results are as follows: Musical experience, teacher expectancy, and home environment were the variables that directly influenced on self-efficacy. Especially, musical experience was the strongest direct predictor of self-efficacy. Parental support and school environment by itself did not have a significant direct impact on musical self-efficacy. Relationships among parental support, school environment and self-efficacy were medicated by musical experience. The results of this study supported the notion that musical self-efficacy was determined by complex interactions among parental support, teacher expectancy, musical experience, home and school environment.
