영문 초록

Purpose – The purpose of this study is to analyze the structural relationship amongst entrepreneurial orientation, trust, commitment, and performance in Industry-University (I-U) cooperation. Design/Methodology/Approach – Based on existing entrepreneurial orientation literature and trustcommitment theory, the structural relationship that affects I-U cooperation performance was used to establish six hypotheses. A survey of 107 companies within Daedeok INNOPOLIS was carried-out, and the Partial Least Square path modeling approach was used to test the hypothesis. Findings – The results show that entrepreneurial orientation has a significant positive effect on I-U trust and I-U cooperation commitment. Also, it found that I-U trust positively affects I-U cooperation commitment and I-U cooperation performance. Finally, a positive relationship was established between I-U cooperation commitment and I-U cooperation performance. Research Implications – This study has theoretically contributed as follows. First, entrepreneurial orientation is a key factor in determining trust and commitment, but I-U cooperation has proven that it does not directly affect cooperation performance, but rather indirectly affects cooperation through trust and commitment. Second, we extended trust-commitment theory to the field of I-U cooperation by proving that the key factors determining I-U cooperation performance are I-U trust and I-U cooperation commitment.
