국문 초록

이 연구는 경력단절여성을 위한 커리어 코칭 프로그램 참여자를 대상으로 커리어 코칭 프로그램의 성공사례를 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 서울 G 지역 새일센터에서 진행한 <경력단절여성 커리어 코칭 프로그램>의 피코치(참여자) 중 성공사례를 선정하여 사례연구를 수행하였다. 피코치 3인을 대상으로 인터뷰를 실시하였고, 분석 결과 코칭 경험 전 - 코칭 중 - 코칭 후의 경험과 코칭의 성공 요인을 도출하였다. 경력단절여성들은 심리적 불안감을 갖고 우연한 기회에 코칭에 참여하였다. 코칭을 경험하면서 긍정적인 자아 정체성을 확립하고, 일에 대한 마인드 셋이 변화하였으며, 궁극적으로 구직활동에 대한 자신감을 회복하게 되었다. 더 나아가 코치와의 대화를 통해서 경력의 방향성을 확립하고, 새로운 경력에 도전하게 된 경험을 발견하였다. 또한 코칭이 성공적으로 이루어지기 위해서는 코치의 전문성, 신뢰, 그리고 사회적 지지가 도움이 되는 것으로 확인되었다. 이와 같은 연구 결과를 바탕으로 경력단절여성의 노동시장 재진입을 도울 수 있는 커리어 코칭 프로그램이 확대될 수 있는 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the success stories of participants in a career coaching program designed for women who have experienced career interruptions. For this research, we conducted a case study by selecting successful examples among the coachees (participants) in the “Career Coaching Program for Women with Career Interruptions” held at the Saeil Center in Area G, Seoul. Interviews were conducted with three coachees, and the analysis identified their experiences before, during, and after coaching, as well as the factors contributing to the success of the coaching. Women with career interruptions initially joined the coaching program by chance, often accompanied by psychological unease. Through the coaching experience, they established a positive self-identity, underwent a mindset shift concerning work, and ultimately regained confidence in job-seeking activities. Furthermore, conversations with the coach helped them establish a sense of direction in their careers and take on new career challenges. The study confirmed that the coach's expertise, trust, and social support were instrumental in achieving successful coaching outcomes. Based on these findings, this study suggests implications for expanding career coaching programs that can assist women with career interruptions in re-entering the job market.
