전문대학 뷰티관련 학과의 교육 실태와 개선방안을 위한 설문 조사 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 2년제 전문대학 뷰티관련 학과 교육과정에 대한 학생들의 만족도와 현존 문제점을 알아보고 나아가 해당 개선방안을 심층적으로 연구하고자 한다. 연구에서는 경기도 수원시 2년제 전문대학 뷰티관련 학과 재학생 260명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며 불성실한 응답 제외한 240부를 요인분석을 통해 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 현행 교육과정 중의 실습 및 실무 과목의 개설과 운영 그리고 교육 시간이 잘 구축되어 있지만 난이도 조절이 필요한 상황이며 이론 과목이 단일화되어 있을 뿐만 아니라 난이도 및 교육 시간도 적절하지 못한 편이다. 둘째, 교육과정 문제점 중에 중장기 발전 전략이 미흡하다는 점, 전공 분야의 최신 이슈와 이론 반영을 못 한다는 점, 시대 및 환경적 요구 반영하지 않았다는 점 등이 학생들이 인식하는 대표적인 문제점이다. 또한 학생의 인성이나 적성, 특성 및 취향을 충분히 고려하지 않았거나 전공과목 구성이 비체계적 등의 교육과정 문제점들이 교육 만족도를 낮추는 실제 요인인 것으로 조사되었다. 본 연구를 토대로 미용 교육 분야의 미흡한 점을 도출하고 개선방안을 모색하는 데 도움이 되고, 국내뿐만 아니라 K-뷰티 시대에 한국 미용 교육이 세계 무대에서 위상을 높일 수 있는 인재 육성 과정을 개발하는 데 이바지할 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

This study aims to identify students’ satisfaction and current problems with the two-year beauty-related curriculum in Korean colleges, and furthermore, to study the corresponding improvement plans in depth. In this study, a survey was conducted on 260 students at a two-year beauty college in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, and 240 copies were analyzed through factor analysis, excluding insincere responses. As a result of the study, first, although the practical subjects and training time in the current curriculum are well established, the difficulty level needs to be adjusted, and not only the theoretical subjects are unified, but the difficulty level and training time are not appropriate. Second, among the problems of the curriculum, the lack of mid- to long-term development strategies, the inability to reflect the latest issues and theories in the major field, and the failure to reflect the needs of the times and the environment are representative problems that students recognize. In addition, it was investigated that problems in the curriculum, such as not fully considering the personality, aptitude, characteristics, and taste of students, or unsystematic composition of major subjects, were actual factors that lowered satisfaction with education. Based on this study, it will help to derive shortcomings in the field of beauty education and find ways to improve it, and contribute to developing a talent development process that can raise its status not only in Korea but also in the world stage in the K-beauty era.
