특수체육론 수업이 체육 관련학과 대학생들의 장애인에 대한 태도 변화

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 특수체육론 수업을 수강한 체육관련 학과 대학생들의 장애인에 대한 태도변화를 알아보기 위함이다. 총 54명의 학생들이 참여하였으며, 15주의 학기 수업 전·후 장애태도 검사지를 이용하여 조사를 하였다. 장애태도 검사지는 총 37문항, 6개의 하부요인(장애인에 대한 무조건적인 거부 7문항, 장애에 대한 왜곡된 동일시 5문항, 추론된 정서요인 7문항, 손상을 입지 않은 타 기능의 제한 6문항, 장애인에 대한 친교거부 6문항, 그리고 장애인과 접촉시 긴장 6문항)으로 구성되어져 있다. 특수체육론 수업 전·후 검사를 대응표본 t-검증을통하여 아래와 같은 결과를 얻었다. 장애태도검사 하부변인의 평균변화는 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 장애태도 검사지 전체의 사전·사후 평균 비교에서도 통계적으로 유의한 증가가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특수체육론 수업을 통하여 체육 관련학과 대학생들의 장애인에 대한 태도 변화를 가져오게 하였다. 이러한 결과는 수업을 통하여 장애인에 대한 이해를 높일 수 있었고, 장애인들이 운동과 스포츠를 통하여 사회와 화합하려는 노력을 학습해 봄으로서 장애인들에 대한 태도를 긍정적으로 바꿀 수 있었던 것으로 설명할 수 있다. 특수체육론과 같은 수업을 대학이라는 교육 환경 뿐 만 아니라 다양한 학습환경에서 적용되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analysis the effects of 15-week special physical education introductory class to find out the differentiation in attitude toward people with disabilities among college students in kinesiology major or minor. A total of 54 students including 30 male and 24 female participated in this study volunteerly. Each participant completed a survey packet including demographic questions and DFS(Disability Factor Scale) before class starts and after 15-week class. The DFS consists of 6 sub-scale with 37 questions including unconditional refusal(7 questions), distorted identification(5 questions), inferred emotional factor(7 questions), limitation of other function not damaged(6 questions), refusal of friendship(6 questions), and tension when contact with people with disabilities(6 questions). Main findings in this study were as follows: Based on the results from paired t-test, each the mean of 6-subscale of the DFS in the pre/post class were 2.65±.58/3.31±.37, 2.54±.51/3.46±.46, 2.47±.40/3.12±.41, 2.61±.46/3.31±.37, 2.84±.47/3.61±.39, and 2.69±.36/ 3.26±.30. All the means of sub-scales were significantly increased after the class. Also, there was statistically significant differentiation in the gran mean of DFS. These results indicate that special physical education introductory class could change college students’ attitude toward people with disabilities. This study could be a reference for the future study related to attitude with people with disabilities.
